MudLove; beautiful, natural handmade homes that you can build too We design, build and teach people how to make beautiful earthen buildings. Check out inspiring photos & information on natural building techniques & workshops!
It’s begun! Here we are starting all over again on a tiny little cob roundhouse. It’s going to house a lil compost loo and shower, and create space alongside for a garden store and greenhouse extension. Today we finished digging the foundation trench and lugged stone for the stem wall up the hill. Follow along for updates and get in touch if you’re nearby and would like to get involved!
Here are a couple of pictures of one of the sweet little cob cottages I lived in at Cob Cottage Company, Oregon, built by Ianto Evans, Linda Smiley and all their wonderful workshopers. Don’t be fooled by the exterior photo- it’s tiny! 😂
Thank you so much to Dyfed Permaculture in West Wales for hosting a volunteer day which we joined in with yesterday. We had a wonderful time making up cob and a straw rich cob and finishing off the final bits and bobs on their gorgeous roundhouse. They have built it on a raised wooden yurt base with cordwood/ cob walls and a chunky reciprocal living roof.
A very inspiring project and such lovely people!
I loved talking house cows too ☺️🐄❤️
Let us know if you have a cob project on the go, we would love to come and visit 🛖

We are celebrating Bronwen’s birthday today, she is 1 🥰❤️🐄.
Having cows in my life these last four years has been such a journey. I’m proud to say I am the human of one beautiful wise jersey who chooses to give us her milk every day, along with her niece Matilda and grand niece Bronwen. It’s such an honour and a delight 🥛.
Happy Birthday Bronwen, may you continue to bestow your gifts on all who meet you # # #
We ran an wonderful workshop at the Land Skills Fair making an experimental cob mix with earth from the farm. Luckily it turned out beautifully, with plenty of natural aggregate and just enough clay in the soil to stick it all together! We had loads of participants so the mixing turned into a dance, and then we loaded it all on to a little stone stem wall (built in minutes with everyone helping!) to practice wall building. I hope some of you guys will go away and build something of your own soon!
