As most of you know, it was Houston Texan player, Jon Weeks and his wife Amanda’s generosity that inspired Kirstyn to start Kirstyn’s Krew. We are so honored that Boots for Troops chose us to partner with them for their 2nd Annual Veterans vs Civilians Softball game.

Jon Weeks will be throwing out the first pitch. One lucky fan who buys a ticket to the game will be selected to catch the first pitch from Jon Weeks. A randomly selected fan from all ticket buyers will be chosen March 1st.

This is going to be a very fun date night, so grab your tickets and come watch this game!

We are very excited to announce that we have partnered with Boots for Troops for their 2nd Annual Veterans vs Civilians Softball Challenge. What a great organization to pair with! Boots for Troops provides customized care packages for troops that come with a brand new pair of boots of the service members choosing, as well as their favorite items from home. These packages are designed to show their appreciation and support from the American people to our troops while they are deployed and away from home. They also provide travel assistance to E5 and below for those who have not been home in over 2 years to help them get home to see their families for the holidays. Emergency travel assistance is provided for E6 and below.

The game is an Exhibition game that takes place in Cypress, TX at Premiere Baseball of Texas and will be filled with on-field entertainment. Each team will be managed by a personality from Sports Radio 610. Sean Pendergast is the manager for the Veterans and Landry Locker will manage the Civilians. The game will also feature a kid race, Miller Lite ball toss, a raffle, bar and concessions stand.

Kirstyn's Krew will receive 15% of the net fundraising from this game no matter the outcome of the game. But, if the CIVILIAN team beats the VETERANS, then the contribution amount will jump to 30%.

What a great way to support children in foster care AND our veterans as well. Let us know if you would like to purchase a ticket for this awesome event. Come out and meet Kirstyn and cheer on your favorite team, Vets or Civilians!

Without Child Advocates and the impact Jon and Amanda made on Kirstyn, Krew never would have come to light. Jon and Amanda continue to stay in touch with Kirstyn. They do not know how much this really means to all of us. Each year, Jon will attend one of our shopping events. We absolutely love and adore them. Whether they like it or not, they are family!

Please take the time to go vote. If Jon wins, Child Advocates will receive a much needed donation to help mobilized court appointed volunteers to break the vicious cycle of child abuse. Child Advocates speak up for abused children who are lost in the system and guides them into safe environments where they can thrive. Child Advocates is very dear to our hearts. Without our advocate….who knows what would have happened. Voting for Jon can make a difference in so many children’s lives.
