A little New Year update // I just finished my second wedding of 2024 today and it was a lovely one (highlights coming soon!). We’re flying to chicago next week for a wedding and to see all of my wonderful family members there and I couldn’t be more ready for family time and mexican food. Our new flat in Edinburgh is almost done being renovated and we’re slowly but surely making each room feel a little bit more cozy. It also just feels amazing to finally be homeowners, especially in this storybook of a city. Last but not least, I’m endlessly excited and grateful for all of the incredibly sweet couples I have the honor of capturing this year and whom have put their trust in me. Documenting memorable moments in individuals lives brings me so much joy! So cheers to a beautiful start to this year, friends! x

Even though I’m still in the middle of my busiest wedding season until the end of this month, and I’m flying back to Chicago tomorrow for 13 photoshoots in the span of the next 7 days… attending .workshop during this traveling season was that little jolt of rest, chats, creativity and inspiration that I needed. It really has me excited for a lot of things to come and even gave me the motivation and courage to do a few new things within my business soon. I can’t wait! x

Last week was spent at a chateau in the champagne region of France living our best lives while spending time with photographers from all over this beautiful planet. I really learned a lot about myself and miss all of these gems of humans already. Alex and Jacob were wed in the Tuscan countryside, at a lovely villa surrounded by olive trees, vineyards and their closest loved ones. This wedding holds such a special place in my heart, as I was not only honored to be invited to document this intimate wedding day, but also being welcomed in to stay with them as one of their family members in the villa for a few days is something I’ll always hold dear. They also know how to have a really good time. Endless drinks and snacks by the pool, ftw. x

Lauren and Keith eloped in New York City with just the two of them. Then upon returning home to Edinburgh, they wanted to celebrate with a festive wedding party filled with dancing, all of their friends, closest family members and most importantly with their little one, Elliot. He was such a blast to photograph and really brought such a fun and light hearted element to their wedding portraits on the Royal Mile. Also, the was a perfect playground for Elliot as well as an epic space to rent out and have a DJ bring the party to the historic restaurant in . All in all, this was an incredibly memorable night and a reminder that even if you want to elope, you can always have an epic dance party with your loved ones when you return home. x

This past week has felt very summery despite the fogginess in this photo. Ross and I have enjoyed our friends comedy at the , caught up on all of our tv shows, I’ve finally updated my website (with just a bit more weddings to still add), got back into the spinning routine at .cycle and are packing for our flight tomorrow, as we’ll be in London for the rest of the week to document lovely couples in love. Overall, it’s been a really beautiful summer and wedding season in Scotland. x

Myranda and Paul had such a beautiful wedding day, and even with the rain going on and off throughout the day, they never let the weather make them lose their joy or excitement of becoming husband and wife, and in the end their elegant vision came together in one of the loveliest ceremonies I’ve seen on this hill. x

Can you spot the sheep peacefully hanging out in these rugged hills of Scotland? Sheep always amaze me with how they can balance and navigate such steep terrain.

On another note, today I’ll be sending off 4 wedding galleries today and I couldn’t be more excited! It really is the best feeling to deliver couples images after spending so much time curating how to tell the story of their wedding day, and having them be able to relive the memories from their day all over again through the moments captured! It’s one of the most rewarding parts of what I get to do for a living. x

Joanne and John flew from LA to get married in the land of Scots, where Joanne’s father is originally from. I loved how many looks Joanne had over the wedding weekend, from her welcome party to rehearsal dinner to the multiple outfit changes on her wedding day, even John changed into a custom kilt at the end of the night! I truly loved all of the modern style that she brought to this countryside estate on the outskirts of Edinburgh. This past Saturday was spent at the museum documenting all of the contemporary beauty that was Chris and Sarah’s design-led wedding day. Jen and Jame’s had an unforgettable wedding day at the lovely , a Michelin Star restaurant located in the heart of Chicago’s West Loop district. Their intimate ceremony was officiated by in the outdoor courtyard and the stunning floral installations were designed by . The reception was catered by Elske’s lead chefs and guests were able to sit inside or by candlelight under the stars. Before the day ended, led an epic dance party with his incredible tunes as everyone danced the night away! x

I can’t wait to head back to the states for a few weeks next month to capture more sweet couples in love! I love documenting beautiful moments on wedding days at unique venues, like this rooftop wedding reception at overlooking NYC. The Manhattan skyline at sunset is a beauty. The guests all loved it as well, for good reason, as you can see in image two! x

The lovely Natalie, getting ready in a castle by window light for her wedding day. I’m really loving all of the unique and historic homes I get to document weddings in lately, this castle being one of them. From the candlelit ceremony to the intimate dinner to the late night dancing, this castle had stunning spaces for all of those memories to be made. There was even a magical snowfall to end this “right out of a storybook” wedding day. x

Edinburgh architecture really gets me. It’s so incredibly inspiring to aimlessly wander around the city on my self-given days off. As much as I love traveling for weddings, and am so incredibly excited to be spending time in America, England and Europe this year for weddings, it’s just as exciting for me to capture couples in love where we live, in the heart of this beautifully historic city. x
