It’s no Redneck Box blind with a Mr. Buddy heater, but this might be the nicest rifle stand I’ve ever hunted from.
We picked up a muddy quad platform stand for 40% off at Rural King, and made some slight modifications to fit a TideWe ground blind on the platform.

Nothing better than enjoying the entire process from field to table. Today my family ground 114 pounds of venison and turned 25 pounds into summer sausage and sweet bologna.

The rut never disappoints.

Congratulations to my friend, hunting partner and camera man Pastor Nathaniel on his first deer with a bow. Unfortunately, I failed as his camera man and didn’t catch it on video.

Went in light, came out heavy. Doubled up last night at one of my favorite boat in hunting spots. Hauled the quarters of both deer out in my mystery ranch pop up 28.

Another great day on Lake Erie this week with my friend Pastor Nathaniel and . We were just short of our 3 man limit of Walleye, but caught a really great mixed bag of fish.

First attempt at Venison Bologna turned out great! It was special using my grandpa’s old sausage stuffer.

Best part about this hunt was I killed this buck from the ground. First buck I have ever shot with a bow from the ground...and yes, there will be a video coming.

The rut was in full swing this week. I had plans to hold out for a big buck but when the opportunity presented itself, I decided to just put more back straps in the freezer.

Waiting for daylight in the whitetail woods. Hoping for some good rut activity today. How has the activity been for you?

There is nothing like waking up to the sunrise over the lake!

Made another amazing memory last weekend. Took the boat into a public access hunting spot and doubled up with a friend. 2 guys in 1 tree with 1 gun shot 3x and harvest 2 deer!

This is some rugged beauty right here.

What a memory we made last night. I took my 4 year old daughter out hunting with me and I was able to harvest a big doe while she watched. It should be a fun video!

Colorado stars are amazing. I think everyone should go see them!

I'm a little late posting, but over the next few days I want to share a few pictures from my September trip to Colorado. It was amazing and beautiful.

Due to family and work priorities, yesterday was my first chance to hunt in the whitetail woods and I was blessed to put some meat in the freezer.

I just purchased my first ever elk hunting license. This is the fulfillment of a lifelong dream, but this is more than a hunt. This is a family adventure to honor the heritage passed down from my dad. Thankful to get to spend the next week chasing elk in CO with my dad, brothers-in-law, and nephew.

Got some arrows fletched and ready to go. Hunting season is right around the corner. What are you doing to prepare?

Great family night at the lake last night. My daughter caught a bunch of bluegills and I managed to catch my first bowfin.

Thanks to a great Father’s Day sale and some saved up Cabela’s Club points, the budget boat got a HUGE upgrade today.

We had a fantastic day on the water. Caught my first ever red and collectively we put a limit of reds in the boat.

What a beautiful sunset on Lake Panasoffkee, FL last night. If only the fishing had been as good as the sunset!

Since the turkey hunting isn't working out, I took some time to enjoy a different, slightly smaller bird.

I got to spend today at one of my favorite places doing some of my favorite things.

I got to hang out in a tree last night to play with some new gear I am testing. The Rebel Fab One stick paired with an aider from Custom Gear Modifications - CGM as well as the CGM Cobra Saddle. Most of all I enjoyed some fresh air and peace of mind that comes from spending time in the outdoors.
