I walked into work yesterday morning knowingโฃ

Well my dramatic self did make it to the end, and my heart just about burst out of my chest when I realized my friends had a surprise waiting for me to celebrate my 1000th class coached ๐ฅบ๐ฅฐโฃ

Had some of my early morning crew show up to workout in the evening, homemade chocolate cake, big ol balloons, and freakin incredible basket filled with what else but half of Trader Joeโs itself. It even had the photo i had posted when I first announced I was taking on this new adventure (peep the last photo).โฃ

Iโm the biggest hype girl for finding little wins to celebrate everyday towards your bigger goalsโฃ

and today that win was celebrating absolutely annihilating my entire family in bowling to prove another reason why I am indeed the favorite child//aunt.
Day 1 is in the books & I kinda feel like Iโm back to being a beginner again ๐๐คโฃ

I committed to a 4 week test group surrounded by other women who are taking on this program for the first time too. So we all get to be beginners together! โฃ

Iโm sharing this out loud as an extra bit of accountability because once I say Iโm doing something, itโs a lot harder for me to back out of it. Today definitely pushed me in totally different ways than my previous training calendar has, so Iโm excited to take those struggles on and see how it can help me improve, gain strength, and become a better athlete.
Brought my inner runner out of retirement to take on the mother of all relays this weekend. โฃ

It was absolute insanity, but tbh could probably be convinced to do it again. Shoutout to this team for sharing in the misery and getting me through with enough belly laughs to get me a 6 pack. RIP to my quads though.

Long day of traveling but made it to St.Louis, bear hugged all my coach friends, and ready to kick off this jam packed weekend. My heart is full.
Gotta train hard so I can keep absolutely demolishing her in our beach races & throwing her up on my shoulders for my victory lap. One day sheโs gonna catch up to me, so I gotta live this up while I can.

I was in a workout, weeblin and wobblin in & out of a single leg hold, when I heard this phrase and Iโve been thinking about it ever since. โฃI actually sprinted to my kitchen after to write it down so I wouldnโt forget it.

Went back in time for a minute to bring out my inner runner, and turns out sheโs still kickin ๐โโ๏ธ. Any other retired runners find it almost impossible to take their competitiveness out of a fun run??
many will be attracted to the light you give off and want to harness that energy for themselves so that they can embody an essence similar to yours,โฃ
but very few will know how much work youโve put into yourself to become who and what you are now.โฃ
