This letter titled, "Punish A Muslim Day" is going around social media. It is supposed to happen on the 3rd of April. This letter is disturbing, and shows how much hate there is in this world. Although this letter is UK based it could trigger hate crimes against the Muslim community anywhere. It not only puts the Muslim community in danger, but can also be a threat to anyone who wears the head scarf, or who "looks" Muslim. Students Deverse, as a social justice organization stands against it. Anyone reading this post please spread awareness. Do not take this matter lightly, we can never be too safe. Be Safe.
"Having more random searches or more police isn’t real safety. As part of Students Deserve, we are marching in solidarity with to end ALL violence, including the school to prison pipeline and the over-policing in schools — especially the discrimination against black and brown students of color." -Sumaiya, high school junior, Zi, college freshman, and Jahlani, high school senior
