Anybody interested?

Trying something new. Drawing classes. 🥰 I mean, I do doodle a lot. And I draw logo ideas before going to the computer.

But drawing just for the sake of drawing is different. I wanted Max to take the class but he didn’t want to do it by himself. Now we’re sharing the fun. 🥰 Still trying to convince Millie to join us…

Yesterday we did our first portrait drawing. He drew me and I drew him. It’s always humbling because it’s so hard to get it to look like the person you’re drawing. Small mistakes add up fast. 🫣

I also joined another drawing group that meets every other Sunday. I just wanted to meet more people and practice Catalan. 🤷🏻‍♀️

You’ll probably see more drawings in my feed from now on… 😬

And so it begins. 😍 First cake of Millie’s sourdough school project. The entire cake is made from scratch, including the blueberry jam used in the frosting. 🫐That’s why it’s such a lovely color. 💜

Too bad she took it to school today and it’s unlikely we’ll get to try some… 😩

A little light reading while I hang out at the pool. The Kindle was out of battery so I grabbed a book off Millie’s shelf. It’s been a couple of decades since I read this… seemed appropriate for right now.

It’s meant for French kids learning English and has explanations in the margins and QR codes to explainer videos or something (I haven’t actually watched them yet)

The kids nailed Fred’s birthday presents this year. Millie wrote him a poem (yes, there were tears), and Max painted him a picture (even Siri confused it with the original 😜)
