About our Founder -Tushar Chowhan:

His experience spans both the sides as an entrepreneur, leader, motivator, inventor, and a global leading product builder:

• He has successfully bootstrapped, founded and setup a technologically leading profitable Startup that has made many patented inventions and built game changing products that is transforming the arena of multi domain engineering, artificial intelligence, physics, and smart software including for mobile and cloud computing.

• As a business (and technical) managing director for a global leading O&G multi-national, earlier had helped incept, and set up (as a first employee) a multi branch 350 people R&D center and a large manufacturing effort in India.

• He was earlier appointed as Director/Chairman for the R&D and Manufacturing effort( for the global leading multinational) at a young age of 35 and worked untiringly to create jobs for hundreds of engineers. He dedicatedly worked around the world to increase Oil and Gas production significantly, thus hugely benefitting India in terms of thousands of crores of foreign import money savings.

• As chief technology officer in an earlier role, He had helped develop many game changing products.

• His key strength are his leadership, management, engineering, and ability to build game changing inventions and products.

He was recently granted US Patent:11,227,375. This is an invention that promises to evolve and transform the oil and gas and geothermal drilling industry to an elevated digital age technology!
Based on the patent we have further developed a game changing product in joint partnership with a leading American company. Using a robotic arm or a smartphone the product is capable to visualize, diagnose and analyze the operation of deep earth drilling tool(s) - PDC drill bit on the field within few minutes.
Performing automated dull grading and engineering analytics, the application not only provides meaningful insight on the historical, current and future drillability of the PDC Drill bit, but also helps decision making on the field and also automatically collects data of thousands of drill bit runs, analyzes it and identifies susceptible design area while suggesting and helping redesign a superior tool! As an intelligent sensor it also serves digital data on the state of the drill bit to other high-level application(s)!

Our company Exo-Field Engineering Solutions was earlier evaluated and granted a special innovation & tax waiver status by Government of India, and last year we were also voted as one of the best data analytics companies in the country by a leading international magazine.

We are working on many other inventions including for automated pothole prediction on roads, a ground penetrating rover using alternate physics for space (interplanetary) application and many more!

Exo-Field and its Founder Tushar Chowhan have been granted US patent for Automated dull grading and Engineering analytics of “PDC Drill Bit “used in deep earth drilling for Geothermal and Oil and Gas applications.

The invention solves a difficult and critical (missing) area of technology currently used in deep earth drilling where the current health, status and engineering information of the drilling tool was not available for digital feedback, analysis and further design improvement.

The invention using either a robotic system or even a smartphone can visualize and analyze a PDC Drill Bit on the field or in a test setup within few minutes generating intuitive and detailed dull grading and engineering analytics information to detail the forensic information, health, status and the future drillability of the tool.

It uses advanced real time edge artificial intelligence and image processing coupled with various physics-based algorithm(s) to combine depth, visual camera based and other inertial sensor data to perform the analysis via an intuitive user interface.
It can further acquire information of hundreds of drill bit together and perform an integrated analysis to identify susceptible design areas in the tool and suggest design changes to significantly improve the future design and performance of the tool, while also providing predictive and prescriptive analytics of each tool.

It also integrates the vital forensic, health, status and engineering analytics data with higher level software application for further processing.
