Friends and family can be supportive, but the empathy and understanding one receives in a Support Group from people who have a shared experience is something you can't find anywhere else. 🤝

26/10/2022

Support Groups provide a unique level of support by offering emotional and practical support from others who have been through the same or a similar situation.
Sharing experience with one another leads to alleviation of isolation, improved condition self-management, and better health and mental health outcomes.

If you want to find out more about PCaHELP and our support groups, you can find us tomorrow at our stall at the ConnectGroups Support Groups Awareness Expo👋

Every prostate cancer story is uniqe. Share yours today and help a mate in need

PCaHELP is a not-for-profit association run entirely by volunteers to provide information to men and their families affected by prostate cancer and to help promote, educate, mentor and inform prostate cancer support groups.

The purpose of PCaHELP is to benefit the community through assisting prostate cancer support groups in their efforts to provide relief for people suffering from prostate cancer, and to promote the early detection, management and ultimately prevention of prostate cancer through education and awareness.

We want to make more men aware of the risk of developing this disease and how they can monitor it. We want to better help those newly diagnosed men and their partners cope with the minefield of options that face them. That is what we believe a support group is all about.

We believe conversations can save lives and with the support of a great volunteer base we believe we have a mission to save as many lives as possible. PCaHELP will also ultimately provide the necessary vessel to inspire, encourage and support all those men who tirelessly work for the betterment of our health futures.
