She has been a member of the Varsity Cheerleading team over the past 3 years, completed over 600 community service hours, and was accepted to over 15 institutions. In the fall, Iesha will study Psychology to become a Psychologist.

Jamarie is a graduating senior from School Without Walls High School. This fall, she will begin her college career at majoring in Architecture to become a Residential Architect. Her biggest motivation for pursuing residential architecture is having the opportunity to provide housing to individuals from all walks of life.

Jamarie says “The College Gurl Foundation is one of the best organizations I have ever been a part of as it taught me that you are not where you come from, but where you're going. I plan to make a change in the world and empower my generation and those that follow to take advantage of the opportunities in front of them. Because of CGF, I was able to visit and commit to my number one school.”

Paul is a graduating senior from Coolidge Senior High School and will be attending The College of Wooster this fall majoring in Pre-Physical Therapy. He was accepted into 28 institutions and awarded over $230,000 in scholarships. After college, Paul aspires to become a physical therapist because he loves helping people.

Jewel, is a homeschooled high school senior from Waldorf, MD who will attend the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff]] and major in Fisheries Science. With a 3.93 GPA and 1300 SAT score, she was accepted into 13 institutions and offered over $750,000 in scholarships! At University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff]] Jewel will play D1 Soccer to become a professional soccer player.

“One of my favorite things about CGF was the amount of exposure Ms. Jessica and her team exposed us to, because I really learned how to make connections for myself. I realized that, in life, connections are ultimately like building blocks. The more you have, the bigger your network and empire becomes. I am very grateful to Ms. Jessica and CGF for teaching me a valuable tool that I can use for the rest of my life.”

𝓚𝓪𝓶𝔂𝓻𝓮𝓷 is a graduating senior at Oxon Hill High School under the Science and Technology Academy. As a STEM scholar on the engineering track, she has a fond love for creating and tinkering and has decided to apply her skills at Architecture program this fall with a minor in Construction Management.

𝓚𝓪𝓶𝔂𝓻𝓮𝓷 says “I have learned a lot over the past year through CGF. The college tour has taught me to prioritize and manage my time to meet expectations, understand the importance of gratitude, and when to pivot when obstacles come my way. My greatest takeaway from CGF is to network, or as my mother likes to say, "build a village.”

JaNae is first generation and CGF C/O 2018 graduating from the #1 . Our 2017 college tour made JaNae’s dream possible of visiting Spelman for FREE and this weekend she graduates! We are so proud of her and all she has accomplished during her undergraduate journey. This Fall, she will attend and teach with !
