Operation Fetch
Planned Acts of Community Kindness to further appreciation, education & awareness about service dogs PTSD, and dogs for visible and invisible wounds
I have no real experience doing beach shooting — unless it’s on the shores of Lake Michigan lol
I’ve ventured out a couple of times this week to give the doodle a break and to see how I can deal with natural lighting at different times of day. These were just random shots I took today. None of them great shakes, but part of the learning curve.
I love the T-shirt on the boy near the water.
The other boy was totally absorbed, and whatever it is, he was contemplating, and he walked through the sand Mae played ball, but it was really hot for her. Time for a haircut. We’re already above 80. That is 10° higher than normal for this time of year.
We saw a sanderling. That’s the camouflaged little bird in the fourth picture. They actually do their hatching in the arctic. These are real snowbirds. They come down here for the winter and then head back to the tundra.
It was a red flag day, but lifeguards were on duty to watch the people braving the riptides

Sleep well.
Drove by preparations for tomorrow’s Fat Tuesday Mardi Gras parade in Orange Beach. Floats lurking everywhere.
No one was walking the shore: High, cold winds kept folks in their warm condos.
It’s been a long day of errands and calls.
Mae manufactured a much needed cuddle…
News then bed.
Sleep well.
Went to the concert at the Coastal Arts Center Of Orange Beach tonight.
I’m still dealing with residual crud from Louisville.
Had to leave. Sad I missed the show. Desi and I were scheduled to be participants in a newlywed game of some sort. Sounded fun.
Did walk out back before I left and took a couple of iPhone shots. Part of this week’s homework for my class is night photography.
Love the dock behind the center.
Early bed.
Sleep well.
