“In the middle we have the Model1 with 6 channels and 2+1 return tracks options. The mixer is just perfect in any way. It sounds amazing the feel of the k***s is super satisfying. The connectivity with D-Sub’s is a nice way to just travel with 3 cables and not 100 of them.
I could go on and on…
First 4 channels are reserved for A,B, C, D decks coming from Traktor.
The sound card is the Antelope Gen3. This thing is just a beast! No words.
Then we have Traktor running from a Mac Pro. All 4 channels + 2 return FX channels for reverb/delay and additional 3th return FX option on the CUE B from the Model1. Mac is also running Ableton from where most of the FX are coming. On top I like to spice everything up with drum racks like 909 or 808.
Push is playing a big roll for controlling the drum racks and sequencing or just playing them live makes the mix more fun and exciting. The drum section is running on channel 5.
For additional control over drums like the decays, filters or tuning I use the Novation Launch Control XL.
Traktor gets controlled by Xone K2 with my custom mapping which is pretty straight forward separating the 4 decks controlling things like loops/lengths or the track position. Also internal Traktor and Ableton FX.
In addition to that Model1 is running an external instrument on channel 6 which is usually the 303 and it syncs with Ableton thorough midi.
