Kate Voss is one of those people you feel like you have known your whole life, regardless of the actual days, minutes, or hours that is true. I have had the pleasure of knowing Kate for many years. Her cafe in my hometown is one of those places you visit once, and count the days until you return. When you walk into Kate's Downtown it's like going home, or rather going to a friend's house being greeted with a warm hug, a sweet treat, a cup of coffee, a conversation filled with love, and ultimately a knowing that when you visit you will always walk away with something you didn't know you needed that day. Kate's is a magical place that embodies everything that Kate Voss is, warm, welcoming and lovely. I had the honor of featuring her in our Art of Series, a very special catalog edition, where I sat down with her and interviewed her, and here I have the pleasure of sharing that with you here.

This magical season is in its peak. ✨🎅🎄

As a small business owner, and spending the past couple weeks planning, buying and curating for 2024, I can't help but feel overwhelmed with joy & gratitude. I mean there is a special kind of magic ordering the fluffiest Easter bunny stuffed animals by the glow of the Christmas tree, sipping hot cocoa. 🐰

This year was hard. I know you've seen it - felt it even- everywhere you look and turn. Personally, this year was very tough for our family. But as I plan 2024 there is renewed spirit of hope, gratitude & most of all love. A love for this business, our customers - new and old, and the little corner of happiness we have been growing for 5+ years. We take big risks buying a year in advance, buying new collections and products, along the way saying little prayers to hope we are being guided into the right direction and you all love everything as much as we do. And I can honestly say I have never been so excited and ready for a new chapter/year! 2024 is going to be expansive, dreamy, & oh so cozy. With collections that inspire togetherness, recipes inspiring you to make an average Tuesday magical, and candles that transport you to a cozy escape in your own home. 2024 is a new chapter, and we can't wait to write it with you!

Through the planning process, I was also reminded it's so easy to hit the fast forward button like we all do. Fast forward to Valentine's Day, Easter, Spring, Summer, even next Christmas. But I was also reminded the beauty and importance of slowing down. Maybe it's getting lost in a holiday romance novel. Maybe it's baking your favorite cookie recipe. Maybe it's just taking an extra glimpse at the soft glow of your Christmas tree. Or watching your favorite Christmas movie for the 100th time. Or curling up with your fur baby reading Southern Living. I hope you savor it all this season.

Our window of shipping has closed & we are going to spend this week soaking in all of the above! We'll be back day after Christmas, with our annual candle sale, like always.
