Cheer Up Missions started in 1998 in response to Hurricane Mitch and the destructive physical and emotional aftermath it brought upon the people and children in that Central American region. A Cheer Up Mission team of 8 originally planned to spread “Good Cheer” by way of costumed performances, magic, and music entertainment in the many shelters set up to assist the homeless. God’s blessings were o
n their side, and many hospitals and doctors started donating medical aid and wheelchairs to the group and so the mission of Good Cheer to spread smiles and joy quickly expanded to include volunteer medical relief and bringing medical equipment and supplies to impoverished countries and the people children devastated by war and natural disasters across the globe.
