The Little Chapel

The Little Chapel

Built in 1875, The Little Chapel is the heart of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart in Tappan, NY.

Built in 1875 as a stable to accompany a main house, the Little Chapel (as it is known today) was transformed into a place of worship when the land was sold to the Archdiocese of New York in 1928. The "Little Stable" became the "Little Chapel" and has continued to evolve over the years. This historic building has become the beloved heart of the parish that serves the community as a quiet place for worship and reflection.
