Just when you think you’ve won the day nap battle & you can finally get on top of everything else in the house. You are loading the dishes into the dishwasher 🍽️🫧 and stand up to get another plate from the sink and then see your toddler (comforter in tow) with the glassiest of eyes asking “playtime Mumma?” 🫣🙈

They really do pick and choose when to pull out the cutest tricks! 🥺 Maybe they are starting to outgrow that nap, even if just for today 🫣 - after all I’m really looking forward to playing, I mean watching my toddler play with, the new wooden kitchen set from Kmart so now could be the perfect excuse to open it! 😏😉

“Mum, Jackson’s mum said that I can sleep over next week. So did Lexi’s Mum, and also Aunty said I could have dinner at her house tonight”

At this point we are just a fancy chauffeur who also provides meals, love & a whole lot of patience 😉❤️‍🔥

Quality over quantity 🙌🏽✨ Our children won’t remember the expensive toys we buy them to play with on their own when we are too ‘busy’, but they WILL remember the times we play in the cardboard box in the back yard and race down the hill in it for hours ☺️ One of my greatest childhood memories is when my Dad would come to school and shake the mango tree or when he would take us to the library after school and tell us to eat “all the brain food” 🤨🤯 FYI there was actually no food and it took us hours to realize this 🤣 Lets make a conscious effort tomorrow to get down on our kids level and embrace some physical play or even read some picture books and nail this thing we call parenthood 📚💥💪🏼
