From my Liz.
โUpdate: discharged home yesterday from a brief stay on a Cancer ward at Nottingham City Hospital where I found out I now got cancer spread to the brain - will find out detailed results next Wednesday from an MRI scan I had this week- will probably be a course of radiotherapy to the head.
Taking dexamethozone steroids daily at moment to help with headaches, dizziness and any inflammation caused by tumours in the brain.
Still having The Phesgo targeted therapy injections every 3 weeks but consultant said this is treatment only for keeping the lung cancer tumours at bay - they are not growing but not shrinking either -isnโt treatment that can go to brain apparently - that is why it could always have spread to the brain as it has now done.
Biggest shock (or not, if you donโt let the devil win!) is not being allowed to drive anymore now - apparently anyone who has tumours on the brain is immediately banned from driving - if by this time next year everything is stable, may get driving licence back. God has got it all under control! This is meant! โ๏ธ๐๐ฝ๐ฆ๐ค๐โ
Hello, well my darling Liz has been kind of off colour the past week, headaches, dizziness, nausea.
She went to her surgery and they booked her in with the out of hours service at Ilkeston hospital, whilst there she had a dizzy spell and fell.
The doctor examined her and said we needed to go to A&E immediately as she suspected brain cancer.
We arrived at 9pm and were quite quickly triaged, Liz was moved to a trolley because of the previous fall and there we stayed till a doctor appeared at 4am, she was sent for a CT scan at 4:30 am.
The radiologist reported that the cancer has spread to the brain.
The doctor referred Liz to the neurosurgical department and they have said it doesnโt need operating on yet and has referred her back to oncology at City Hospital.
Thatโs all for now, we are still in A&E , will update when I know more.
Just back from holiday and a big Thank You to everyone who sent me a birthday card, you are all very special x
A surprise in the post from Maggie's Nottingham ๐
Don't miss out, limited time offer!
I noticed that there are 12 coordinating card stock colours with the new thoughtful Journey DSP so my plan was obvious!
Base card in each of the 12 colours at 5 7/8โ square.
A white insert of 5 5/8โ square.
A DSP layer of 5 5/8โ square
I remember when I first started out with SU I used to watch a lot of Brandy Cox and she did x cards in x minutes videos so that was my plan.
I precut all the card, inserts and DSP, stamped the sentiment and the layering piece using the simply shape dies ( the banners).
It took me 30 odd minutes to make 11 cards, as a lot of pieces , video around 20 ish minutes as I sped it up as it was a tad repetitive.
Watch the video premiere at 8pm (UK) tonight - https://youtu.be/CWjt-hIEhk4?si=OWOOl1jIZ84lWl74
So finally did a bit of crafting, tho I still have a funeral to go to on the 30th. This project has been lying on my desk for over two weeks.

Today I lost one of my oldest friends, going to miss our chats in the garden.
Sleep well Betty, R.I.P
Another change to the crafting area, these used to be stacked on top of each other, so a royal pain in the bum!
Kallax to the rescue again!
Finally, itโs been a while but today I have opened my last pack of Whisper White, I did have a heck of a lot of it tho I do call it Basic White in my videos to save any confusion. ๐๐๐
Possibly our best joining offer since I became a Demonstrator in 2016.
Don't miss out, only valid during May 2024
I made Liz an A4 simple journal that she can stick things into, here is the tutorial.
(434) Simple A4 Journal Tutorial I had a request to do a tutorial for this projrct so here goes!At one point in the video I say that I will fast forward through the needle threading section,...
I made this simple A4 journal for my wife using items from the May Journalling Joy by Scrimpingmommy.

Yay, my preorder ๐๐๐
As you may know I had no heating for around 10 days and was unable to craft, during this annoying break my mojo went walkabout.
So what do you do when this happens, you CASE something!
I was after a project that utilised my remaining supplies after the retiring clear out, a browse of Pinterest ensued and I came across this card, I took a screenshot but can no longer find it, so not able to credit the original creator, the card had no watermark too.
