NEW ENERGEX STANDARDS | HOW DO THEY IMPACT YOU?
there’s a new standard on the street? If you work in the electrical industry, read on. Energy Queensland recently rolled out changes to the Queensland Electricity Connection Manual (v4) which came into effect as of 21 Feb 2024.
This new standard may have implications to your work. Our team have already commenced rolling out switchboards to adhere to the new specifications.
Some of the changes imposed include:
· Changes to metering panels
· Changes to CT metering
· Changes to metering manual (it becoming national)
· Metering spatial requirements
· Access to metering panels
To address these changes, we have started to:
· Be more proactive in the early design phase with clients
· Apply a higher level of safety standard to our manufacturing processes
· Encourage all stakeholders to look into our arcSAFE Switchboards to address the cost measures with the potential need to have external switchboards over internal (CT Metering changes)
· Actively discuss arc flash mitigation strategies and improvement of safety measures
We are also working with our clients across our sites where these new standards come into effect. If you have been impacted by these changes, read more and reach out to our team.

CE GROUP GOES ABOVE THE REST | UNITYWATER 💧
It’s not very often a contractor can say they go above and beyond for their clients and show it. Sure, we write about it in our capability statements, sprawl it throughout our websites and claim it in our marketing material, but how many can say they PUT it all into practice?
Well, our Water Infrastructure team can. Last week, the team were faced with numerous challenges whilst delivering works for long-term client Unitywater at MPG10 Pump Station.
What felt like a never-ending uphill battle – even when our Operations Manager Stuart Roberts had to make the long drive (via the workshop) late in the piece to deliver a critical part to the team, the crew embraced a never quit attitude – resulting in successfully getting the Pump Station back online. 🙌
The team at Unitywater said this about the teams’ efforts: “It was a job well done by a professional team that refused to give up. Nice work everyone”.
We’re proud of our efforts, we talk the talk AND walk the walk. How many can say that?
If you’re looking for your next partner who goes above and beyond – reach out to the team to see how they can assist. https://www.ce.group/contact/

| TODAY AND ANY DAY ☀
We don't need a day to highlight the importance of mental health at CE Group, we aim to foster a positive and supportive mental health environment on all days. But on days like today with a message of: Ask R U OK? Any Day.
We felt it fitting to ask a few of our team what today means to them. 🤗
Regardless of what you're doing today take a moment to checkin, and ask RUOK. Whether it’s your friend, family member, colleague, partner, or teammate, the people you care about go through life’s ups and downs every day.
Even asking yourself if you're okay is important. Not just today, but ANY day. Because a conversation could change a life.
What does RU OK Day mean to you?
LIVIN | A CE GROUP CORPORTATE PARTNERSHIP 🧠 ❤️
With a geographically spread workforce, providing an opportunity to foster a positive mental health culture can prove challenging. Through our partnership with LIVIN we are able to break down the barriers of location and provide education and support to our teams, on the ground, where they are, whenever they need it most. 👩🔧
Through sessions our teams are educated, empowered and offered a platform to start a conversation with fellow colleagues. This simple act could make all the difference, and take one step forward in breaking the stigma around mental health.
According to the stats, 1 in 5 working in the construction industry (possibly you, or someone you know) will experience a mental health crisis in the next 12 months – and we’re here to make sure our team is equipped if they need it. 🛠
Some key takeaways the team regularly say they learn:
• What signs to look for in someone struggling;
• How to make time to have the chat and ask if someone is okay;
• And taking time for some self-reflection and practice some self-love.
These presentations allow for an opportunity to self-reflect, check in with our friends, family and co-workers and remember to take time for ourselves.
There's always time to ask !
