Day 4: What is presprouting and is it a must?
Presprouting is giving your ranunculus and anemone corms a head start by planting them up early indoors. Itās NOT a must (especially when you are growing Italian varieties š).
Today on the blog I explain why I take the time to do it. And tomorrow I will walk you through it, step by step!
Narcissus Delnashaugh.
Available in our store September 23rd š.
Tulips La Belle Epoque and Black Hero š.
Both will be available in our shop this Saturday.
Day 2: What flowers are the easiest to grow?
If the Italian anemone had a mantra, it might be something like thisā¦
āStick me in the dirt and forget about me and Iāll love you forever.ā
Sounds too good to be true? I thought so. Until I tried them and, lawd have mercy, I fell in love.
Head on over to the blog to hear me gush about why I love these guys so much. Link in bio. Sale starts Sept 23rd.
We interrupt out Anemone and Ranunculus FAQ series with this quick reminder:
Our Fall Bulb Sale includes tulips and daffodils, too š.
Sale goes live Sept 23rd.
Okay lovelies, our Ranunculus and Anemone FAQ series starts today.
Day 1: Are all ranunculus varieties created equal?
Let me skip to the endā¦Hecks to the no.
And *spoiler-alert* the Italians are my faves.
Head on over to our blog for a full run-down on all the varieties, pros and cons, and why I ā¤ļøthe italians. Link in bio.
Anemones and ranunculus are on the rise in the flower world. Youāve probably seen them in wedding posts and at your local farmers markets. And maybe youāve wondered, āWait, can I actually grow those?ā
Why yes. Yes you can.
These beauties bloom in spring and bridge the gap between our March/April flush of daffs and tulips and our late spring, cool season annuals that need a minute to get going. And bonus: they are cut-and-come again flowers. Thatās rightā the more you cut, the more flowers youāll get.
Got questions about how to grow these fluffy fleurs? Youāre not alone. Soooo, we decided to comb through our inbox (yāall have such good questions!) and have put together a brand new Anemone & Ranunculus FAQās (Frequently Asked Questions) Series to get you guys growing like Beyonce on the runway. Join me over the next few weeks as I answer all yāallās FAQās about these delicate (yet, surprisingly not-so-delicate) roses of spring.
If youāre thinking you want to jump on this bandwagon, then hereās our sale date to pop on your calendar. Sat. Sept 23rd 9am PST
