Our new record GRAND MARAIS is now available on vinyl. Ramin Samandari took the brilliant cover picture where we are drinking lots of green tea in the rain. There is a bevy of band photos on the liner notes insert. It was crafted in a limited run on silky black vinyl--which has the best audio quality.

It can be purchased immediately thru Bandcamp or at our upcoming shows. You can also get the CD version there.

This record is a departure from normal Buttercup--it's extravagantly minimal, employing just an acoustic guitar and bass. You may notice there is zero drums or percussion. However, it still rocks. It's like a more (!) minimal Violent Femmes. It was produced by the talented Danny Reisch. We are quite proud.

We've already released the singles and they've generated a buzz: "Opening Band", "Morrissey for Company" and "Let it Drop."

Put us in your ear today, love.

We are planning a release party in the November when things get cooler, along with a tour to celebrate this new record.
