Last weekend, this beautiful human in the middle got MARRIED!

We were so excited to celebrate the union of Julia and Will. Julia lived in City House from 2021-2022. She is so full of life and one of the most adventurous people!

Wishing Julia and Will the best as they start off their adventure as husband and wife and move to Alaska!

As the grand finale for our year together, we rolled into the bowling alley for a striking celebration! We even received a personalized bowling pin! Later, we headed back to the house for an ice cream cake treat and reminisced about our epic year. It was a blast to wrap up our time with this crew. Their familiar faces are definitely missed in the house!

Our annual movie night is always a great chance to invite friends, old and new, to the house! Our stomachs and hearts were filled!

Joel has provided high quality entertainment for our house this year! He really missed his chance to become an actor! Not only is he theatrical, but is also a deep thinker and has an intense desire for adventure.
He only has two more weeks in his college career, as he will be graduating with his Bachelors degree in Philosophy and a minor in Economics.
It’s been a privilege to have him in the house this year!

It’s Michael Myers! No, not the actor- but he does enjoy doing impressions of pop culture references! Mike has such a positive mindset and is so encouraging of his housemates! We are glad he joined us at City House this year.

Mike will be graduating in May with a bachelors degree in Student Ministry and is getting married in the fall!

Say hello to our newest City House resident- Jules! 👋🏼 Jules moved into the house in January to join us for the last semester of her college career and we are SO glad she did! She is incredibly personable and sweet! Jules is majoring in Communication Disorders and will be graduating this May. She is a real headbanger and loves to go to rock and metal concerts. 🎸🎶

Say hi to Isabelle 👋🏼

Isabelle is back for her second year at City House. She is majoring in secondary history education and going to be graduating this May! We have no doubt she’s going to be a knowledgeable and creative history teacher!

A fun fact about Isabelle is that she has Italian heritage and was able to visit Italy this past summer! If you get the chance to ask her about it, I’m sure she’d love to tell you all about her adventures there!

Say hello again to Isonose because she’s back for her 3rd semester at City House! Isonose is planning to graduate in December of 2024 with her degree in Intercultural Studies. This one is full of joy and energy!! We are so glad to have her back in the house again!!

Nothing like ending a full semester with a Christmas party and white elephant gift exchange!

There’s going to be some face changes this upcoming semester but we are so glad for this group of students that committed to the house for this semester! It was quite a wild, yet fun adventure with you all!

We have a lot to be thankful for this year, including this fun, lively group of students!

On Wednesday, we feasted and celebrated Thanksgiving together as a house! We were able to apply some of the food-related concepts from our class into the meal, being thoughtful about where some of the ingredients were sourced from. We really enjoyed the smoked turkey from Lamppost Farm, where we visited for our October retreat!

A few weeks ago we had our Fall Fest Open House event! It was so fun to see familiar and new faces at the house, enjoying some fall-themed foods and coloring pumpkins!

We’ve had many students over the years that say their favorite memory at City House was the Lamppost Retreat. It tends to be rejuvenating for the soul, getting our hands dirty helping with farm work, learning from Steve and Mel about creation and food justice, and getting quality time with our housemates. This year was no exception. We always learn something new when we go and are reminded of how good and thoughtful our God is for creating the world as He did!

Last weekend we had the pleasure of seeing some familiar faces back at the house!

Students as far back as 2017 came to our City House Reunion for Homecoming Weekend! Being able to catch up, eat delicious foods, hang out, and play guitar hero with those who were a part of City House’s story reminded us of God’s faithfulness over all these years.

To all our past residents, you’re welcome back anytime! We love seeing you and hearing what God has been doing in your lives!
