CIET-NCERT is organising a five-hours online training on “Digital Wellness” from 1 - 5 July, 2024 in English version and 8 - 12 July, 2024 in Hindi version from 4.00 pm - 5.00 pm, to enhance the understanding of teachers, students, teacher official educators, and various stakeholders. The online training will be live on NCERT YouTube Channel- https://www.youtube.com/c/NCERTOFFICIAL and also be simulcast through PMeVidya DTH TV Channels numbered #6-12 and Jio TV mobile app.

Six students from Yangang SSS reached SICUN, Assam Lingzey to attend a week long Summer Camp being organised from 30.06.2024 to 06.07.2024 for PM SHRI Schools where they will be trained in the co-scholastic area they are interested in.

A Cluster Level Programme of WISDOM BRIDGE was organised at Yangang SSS on 26.06.2024 with an objective to inculcate among students a sense of respect and pride to the traditional knowledge and practices of the community . Resource persons from the society were invited who shared their knowledge and skill with the students. Mr PL Dangal talked about our ecofreindly life style and rich tradition. Mr. Tika Ram Gurung shared his vast knowledge of local medicinal herbs and plants. Mrs. Sita Pokhrel gave demonstration and taught students the art of making Tapara (टपरा ).
Following events were organised as inter school competitions under Yangang SSS Cluster.
1. Story Telling
2. Visual Art (3D model)
3. Herbal medicine display
The program saw gracious presence of the Principal and teachers of Yangang SSS,
AEO, BAC Yangang, CRCCs of under Yangang block, Heads of Majuwa PS, Rangang PS and teachers and students from Satam Ps, Samrok JHS, Pathing JHS, Sokay JHS, Upper Yangang JHS.

Parents Teacher Meet organised in Yangang SSS on 25.06.2024.
The First Term result along with the various works and activities done by the students till date were shared with the parents.

International Yoga Day 2024 celebrated at PM SHRI Government.Sr.Sec School, Yangang.
Ms. Sikha Sharma, Medical Officer and Mr. Amir Bhandari, Lab Technician of Yangang PHC attended as resource person.
The students and teachers performed various asanas to bring out the importance of yoga in serving better mental health practices in our lives.

Graduation Day ceremony in honour of AISSCE 2024 passing-out students was organised on 07.06.2024. The programme was graced by Dr. AB Karki, Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department as the Chief Guest . Other distinguished guests were Mr. Mahesh Dawari, Managing Director of Peero company (pvt) Limited and Mr. Rinchen Dorjee Bhutia, a retired Navy Officer from Yangang. All three distinguished guests are the proud and cherished alumni of Yangang SSS who in their inspirational deliberations congratulated students, parents and teachers for the remarkable result.
AISSE toppers of the school for 2023 and 2024 batches were felicitated along with their parents and awarded with the Saraswati Karki Memorial Excellence Award instituted by the Karki family of Yangang.
AISSCE 2024 passing out students were also awarded with certificates and mementos.

Keeping with its tradition of environmental awareness and concern, Govt. Sr. Sec. School Yangang, observed World Environment Day with a series of activities which included-
1.Special Assembly with deliberations on Environment and climate change
2. Poem recitation and painting competition on the theme
3. Cleanliness drive and Segregation of waste
4. plantation of saplings in school premises.
5. Pledge to protect Biodiversity.
Thank you all the teachers and students (NSS, NCC, Eco Club, School Sanitation club, RRC) to take a move to encourage all to come forward with full dedication and commitment to protect nature and bring about a remarkable impact on the environment.

World No To***co Day 2024 observed at Yangang SSS on 31.05.2024 with the active involvement of the NSS unit, Eco Club and Sanitation Club of the school.
A series of activities were organised to raise awareness on the health hazards associated with To***co and to***co products.
1. Morning assembly talk on ill effects of To***co
2. Peaceful rally with placards displaying dangers of using to***co from school to Market
3. Outreach activity in Yangang bazar with deliberations on legal provision/acts related to sale and use of To***co products.

Graduation Day-2024 on 7th June 2024

On 28th May 2024, PM SHRI Yangang Senior Secondary School, observed World Menstrual Hygiene Day. The School Sulabh Sanitation club organized programme to raise awareness about menstrual hygiene amongst students.

The programme included sppech of school Vice- Perfect in which she talked about menstrual hygiene and importance of proper disposal of used sanitary pads. The students also performed skit through which they spread the message on menstrual hygiene. The skit aimed at breaking the taboo associated with menstruation and remove discrimination "placard" with important informations related to menstruation were also displayed.

The school Principal also highlighted that the menstruation is a natural phenomenon and it is absolutely normal and healthy for a girl to have menstruation in certain age.

The programme culminated with the proposal of vote of thanks by Chultim Bhutia, Sanitation Prefect

Two students from Yangang SSS (Ishoriya Chettri, Class X and Ayush Rai Class VIII) took part in State level Selection for National Yoga Olympiad on 24.05.2024 at Biraspati Parsai Govt. SSS, Ranipool.
