We are spreading the HONOR impact into the public school classrooms, teaching the same solid honor and integrity through Honor Academy with the new magazine format, too.
"The new magazine format for the Honor Academy is innovative and right on target," said Whitney Laning, Director for Rowlett Explorer Post One, where they have adopted Honor Academy to meet the requirements of their program's character education block.
"The kids are excited to learn and discover the next chapter, and take it home to their families, too!"

These explorer post kids were excited to get their new Honor Academy student magazines. The Explorers program requires a curriculum block on Character, and Rowlett has adopted Honor Academy to meet that purpose.

"Teaching Honor Academy changed my life," said a volunteer leader with the Rowlett Explorer Post One in Texas. "It's made me really think about what I do and say in front of these kids...I ask myself, am I showing them what honor looks like?"

This sweet girl applied for a free Honor Academy magazine online. She was displaced from her home and regular school in Rowlett by the tornado, and has had a very rough year. Getting this package in the mail with her name on it really lifted her spirits. Her mom reports that she was so excited to start her very own character building journey, she hasn't put it down!
"Kylie really likes the magazine.
She looked at a lot yesterday and then pulled it out on the way to school this morning and was working on it in the car before the sun came up and was using the inside car light to read the magazine. She was actually writing answers to the questions that were meant to just get them thinking."
