Financial Manager
BASIC JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Based in Alberton
Monthly processing and controls
• Ensuring that processing is up to date on a daily basis
• Processing transactions accurately
• Ensuring all transactions are sufficiently supported
• Completing reconciliations in a timely manner
• Completing reconciliations accurately with sufficient support
• Resolving reconciling items in a timely manner
• Completing management accounts within the deadline timeframe
• Preparing accurate contractual agreements
• Preparation of income tax and VAT calculations and reconciliations
• Monthly SARS submissions (PAYE and VAT)
• Processing and management of investment transactions and reconciliations
• Performing a continuous self-review on work
• Performing other duties and responsibilities, as assigned
People Management
• Providing oversight and direction to the employees in the department in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures.
• Coaching, mentoring, and developing staff
• Empowering employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals
• Leading employees using a performance management and development process that provides an overall context and framework to encourage employee contribution and includes goal setting, feedback, and performance development planning
REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
• 2-5 years’ experience
• B Com Accounting Degree

Full job description
PMVR Accounting has a post available for a young lady who would be interested in an entry level post in the company.
*Position Based: Walkerville
*
The basic duties include but are not limited to.
• Correctly reconcile and allocate payments.
• Investigate and clear all queries arising on the processing of debtors and creditors.
• Follow up and report on outstanding accounts.
• Supervised invoice processing and purchase orders.
• Reconcile vendor statements and handled payment complaints or discrepancies.
• Code and enter invoices each day into Sage Accounting
*The normal working hours are Monday to Thursday from 08:00 to 16:30 and Fridays from 08:00 to 15:00.*
• Grade 12 qualification
• previous experience in line with the position would be an advantage.
• Bilingual (Afrikaans and English) – This is a non-negotiable must.
• Person with a strong willingness to learn and to adapt quickly.
*This is an entry level position with an entry level salary based on experience.
