Big-up to Brandon McMullen (2017, Falcon) who was man of the match in Scotland’s match against the West Indies! Brandon was instrumental in Scotland making the Super Six stage of the World Cup 2023 Qualifier narrowly missing out to The Netherlands in a match where he scored 104.

Junior inter-house basketball and waterpolo champions; senior inter-house basketball champions; senior waterpolo finalists; inter-house Swimming Gala runners up; Relay Cup champions; Spirit Cup runners up. It has been a terrifyingly electric start to life here at Falcon, this year. The general house spirit and mood has been brilliant, with the boys itching to compete in everything. We are very proud of all that we have achieved so far, but, we’re not done yet. 2023 - The year of the Falcon 🦅

Today the grade 8s walked to the Hilton supply dams where they took part in a dorm team building challenge. The challenge was to build a raft and try make it across the dam and back without the raft breaking. Despite the bad weather, the boys did not complain and pushed through 💪. Falcon House boys successfully made it to the other side and back without the raft breaking. Well done boys

Today the Grade 8s walked down as a dorm onto the Hilton estate, where they explored and discovered all the beautiful locations that this school has to offer. It was a challenging walk due to the weather being unbearably hot but the boys pushed on and made it back up to school. 🥾🚶‍♂️

We are also coming up to the end of the Grade 8s first week and so far they have adjusted incredibly well to boarding school life. The matric group is very happy in the standards that this dorm is producing and we are looking forward to seeing what they can accomplish together as a dorm in the future. Keep it up boys 💪

My name is Gabriel Njonjo, and I am the Falcon Head of House, for 2023.

Being in Falcon House has instilled a discernible sense of vehemence in me. The type that gives you extra motivation to work that little bit harder, and give that extra bit of effort in whatever you do, serving as a reminder that you are a part of something greater than yourself. I am incredibly excited by the infinite possibilities that surround Falcon House. In 2023, my goal is to maintain the zealous House Spirit that is characteristic of Falcon. I strive to radiate a sense of shared identity in the House that will help administer a winning mentality, imploring all of us as Falconians to do everything with fullness and total commitment.

Today the grade 8s had their 1st orientation day, where they were able to explore the school, get to know their dorm cops and were able to bond as a dorm.

Congratulations to Ben Kok (Grade 11) who has been selected to
represent South Africa at the 2022 United Space School which will take place at NASA, Houston, USA from 24 July – 7 August 2022.
Ben is one of two SA high school students who were chosen to go to NASA after a countrywide selection process was conducted.
