K2 Band ZA

ed in September 2013. This is the first album and has been the subject of much discussion in the media lately. The anticipation of what K2 calls "A total new level of song writing and consciousness" is creating lots of questions and talk in recent radio and TV spots. K2 has released the single "EVERY INCH" to radio. The single is the first track from the album "THE BATTLE" and has the "BIG SOUND" that has become K2's trademark in their dynamic journey around the country and beyond. The track was written using "Inner Peace" as the ultimate struggle. It's just impossible to move beyond the battle of passion burning". The band exists of four band members:
Frans Wessels (Vocals & Rhythm)
Danie Wessels (Vocals & Lead Guitarist)
Leon Botha (Drums)

They have played together since 2003. They have played at various festivals like: KKNK, Aardklop, Gariep Festival, Nampo, Volksblad Art Festival, Aardtappel Festival, Loskopdam Festival, Grahamstown Festival, ARTSA ect. They also played at different places for example Windmill Casino, Flamingo Casino, Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace SA vs NZ, Boktown BFN 2007 & 2008, Vodacom Park - Bloemfontein, ABSA Park - Kimberly and OFM classic Cycle Races 2006 & 2007 as well as at various Night Clubs, Weddings and Cooperate functions all over South Africa

The Band was also at Standerton Highveld Show 2007 and has featured on " Fiesta on Kyknet" and also in the following media JIP - Volksblad, Beeld, Burger, Bloemnuus, Get it Magazine, "Die Leavelder", Sun, Vonk Magazine, People Magazine ect. They haves shared the stage with various artists in South Africa like: Mean Mr Mustard, Prime Circle, Watershed, Parlatones, Wonderboom, Evolver One ect.
