Happy Friday 😂
This weeks edition. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to continue this trend because YHO - people have no sense of humour. But the majority of you here get me and have really been requesting it…😂 so this is not for everyone, but I need to satisfy the my followers. Send this to the person whose paying for the next birthday cake 😉 #joke #humour #goawayKaren
This is an experiment to see how many people will comment about the incorrect spelling of “their” on the screen before reading the caption 😊 Let’s play a game- now, if you’ve already commented and then read the caption, please don’t delete your comment, it’ll ruin the fun 🌸If you commented and didn’t read the caption you’re not very demure, and not very mindful 😂
When smoothing your final coat of buttercream, make sure your scraper is at a 45 degree angle and not 90 degrees. At 90 degrees you’re more likely to pull buttercream from your cake and cause more “holes” at 45 degrees you’re almost pushing the excess buttercream into any gaps you may have… resulting in a beautifully smooth blank canvas to work on 🌸 Extras : do one clean stroke all the way around your cake with your final coat. Make sure your scraper is clean with each new stroke Know when to stop!!! The longer you take the more damage you can cause!! Remember your final design, 1 or 2 holes can most likely be covered with your decor 😊 I hope this helps. If you try it please let us know 😊 (By us I mean me) 🤪
So one of my followers reached out to me on July 5th (bare in mind it was my birthday and I had orders to finish for the weekend) so I was just so busy to even trust my gut. So she calls me, introduces herself and we get familiar. Chatting about things she’d like to order and asking for prices, then goes on to say that she supplies small businesses, like mine, with things like flour, sugar, eggs etc. After about a minute of discussing, it really does sound too good to be true but I decide to give her the benefit of the doubt. I place my order and get my husband to make an immediate payment because like I said, I was just too busy to even think. As he does the payment I say to him “It’s a small amount of money, and if this is a scam it’s okay, but I’m in my “supporting small business” era so I hope she’s legit” for reference it was only R460 Since then, she has called me multiple times a day with an excuse as to why the goods were not yet delivered and tries to get me to order more things - obviously I’ll only order a second time when the first order arrives (which I know is never) I haven’t confronted her or told her I’ve been in contact with her family and know that she’s “bad news” I also know where she lives. To be honest, I made peace with this the day the order was supposed to be delivered but I’ve kept entertaining her conversations because I wanted to believe that she isn’t a scammer… Anyway, point is, as a small business owner with all my information on this app I thought I’d share my experience and try to bring awareness to the fact that not all small business are legit. Let’s take extra care in verifying information before blindly supporting people we don’t know because our hearts are telling us to “pay it forward” I will not be exposing this person or sharing her name out of respect for her family. Let me know in the comments what you would do from here if this had happened to you
