Most of you won't know, but To the Bone was born during a very traumatic and difficult time. I’ve been in the animal shelter industry for years, unfortunately, I was attacked by a power breed at the end of last year, I’ve undergone major reconstructive surgeries, 5 to date and it’s ongoing.

I wanted to create something that will not only help animals but also the communities in need. Due to what I’ve been through, something that is very important to tothebone is education and also to help communities with any trauma they are/have suffered.

We have started out with animal-related outreach projects and we are currently busy with a sterilisation drive with Grace Animal Sanctuary, but we have big plans to make an even bigger impact in our informal communities.
