Confusion in Supply Chain Management Faculties/Schools or Departments in various Universities and industries across the world.

I always wonder why we still have university faculties and Programmes called "Procurement and Supply Chain Management" or "Logistics and Supply Chain Management" as though these were mutually exclusive 🤔. We must get this right soon.

In my understanding, Supply Chain Management (SCM) encompasses Procurement & Logistics Management.... It's an umbrella term.

You will never find such in science and engineering fraternities e.g. Civil engineering is what it is (no confusion!) - not "Civil and Engineering" or "Mechatronics and Engineering" .

Can some of our learned Supply Chain folks here assist/balance me. I would love to hear your views.
