Continuing on our Autumn theme, we collected some nature treasures while on a walk. We explored textures, shapes, colours and sizes of the items that we found. We then sorted and organised our treasures, learning about maths, language and science concepts along the way. 🍁

Our little Wildflowers are learning about autumn. This art activity was a fun prompt to discuss what we have learned about autumn, while exercising fine motor skills. We also used our colour knowledge to mix up the secondary colours shown.

These are some of the library books that we’ve been reading, and loving, this week.
We really appreciate the diversity found in Fish Hoek Library’s children’s section. Representation matters! When children see themselves or their families in books it helps them to feel seen and heard. When they see people and families who are different from theirs, it offers them new perspectives and promotes empathy and understanding.
