Thaniaā€™s main goal was to get leaner, fitter and stronger, post partnum. Once she achieved her goals, her next goal was to get back into her passion for long distance trail running racing.

She is now officially a trail runner, running races in amazing locations across Europe and doing what she loved to do once againšŸ’Ŗ

šŸ”„BRONWYNā€™S TRANSFORMATION šŸ”„

15 months ago I had my second baby. Because I love moving I exercised throughout my pregnancy and was able to start again after the six week c-section recovery. Even though I was working out multiple times a week, I eventually stopped seeing progress. Broken sleep at night caused me to have a serious afternoon slump and I ended up snacking a lot, which made me feel that the physical work I was doing was a waste; but I kept going because it was good for my mental health.

I think the tough thing for me was the fact that I was able to get fit quickly after my first baby but I also have to remember that it was lockdown, that I didnā€™t go back to work after three months and that my capacity was different. I was determined to feel good again. I wonā€™t lie, part of me believed that my body wouldnā€™t respond no matter what I did and that my autoimmune illness would mean that I lived in constant pain, preventing me from being fit and strong again.

I decided to start training with Dorian to keep me motivated and accountable. It was exactly what I needed as he met me where I was at and gradually began pushing me. He has a good balance, being both gentle and motivating; itā€™s been great to train with someone who truly understands how parenting affects our lives.

My goal is to rest more so that I donā€™t feel tempted to snack as often but I am really proud that Iā€™ve moved to choosing whole foods for majority of my meals and that Iā€™m learning to be disciplined when snacking.

Iā€™m mindful of the fact that health and fitness is a journey, not a destination and Iā€™m encouraged to keep going to be healthy and have lots of energy for myself and my family.

My fitness journey has surely been a rocky road. Having no work life balance whatsoever, it required a lot of will power. What helped a lot was having Dorian as a personal trainer who constantly pushes you to do your best. Additionally, the group and community Dorian has built helped keep me accountable for moving daily and ensuring that I eat healthier.

My biggest enemy was the scale as there where somedays that I would become demotivated and I just wanted to give up as I was not seeing what I expected to.

My wins:

- Having the weekly check-ins and PT sessions changed my mindset.
- I started feeling more energized.
- I started feeling much more comfortable in my clothes.
- I reached my goal weight.
- I strived to train atleast 3 times a week.
- I became more conscious of what I eat, and I craved less junk food.
- I try to sleep atleast 7 hours every night.
- I try to incorporate heathier snacks in my daily diet.

My challenges:

Giving up chocolate šŸ˜Š donā€™t think Iā€™ll ever be able to do this though lol

I really started enjoying exercising and I couldnā€™t have done this without the help of Dorian! šŸ¤—

My health and fitness journey has been a long one since giving birth nearly 1 and a half years ago. There were so many times I wanted to give up because I wasnā€™t seeing results ā€œfast enoughā€... however I kept pushing and making small changes to my daily life.. and itā€™s had a massive impact on my mindset which motivated me to keep pushing and take it a day at a time. I had to keep reminding myself that ā€œslow and steady wins the raceā€šŸ˜Š

My wins:
- I feel really energised and way less lethargic than before, this allows me to push my self more during workouts.
- Iā€™m managing to train at least 4-6times per week
- I feel a lot stronger and lighter
- Clothes that havenā€™t fitted in years I can finally fit in to.
- I feel a lot more confident and comfortable in my body
- My daily water intake has increased to 3-3,5litres
- Zero Cravings for junk.. coffee reduced to 1-2 cups per week
- Since the group was created Iā€™ve been more conscious of my movement during the day so Iā€™ve been managing 10k steps daily
- The group has really kept me accountable and inspired me to make better choices
ā€¢ So grateful for the community you have created D, really couldnā€™t have done it without you and the amazing ladies šŸŒø

My Wins:
- Im more active, prioritizing my workouts which helps reduces my stress and improves my mental well being
- I now manage to go to the gym 3 times a week which is a huge win
- The daily 10k step challenge is also keeping me in check, I am way more active and walk 10k steps daily which is a win
- I ran a 10km womenā€™s race
- The eating is going great, I am super conscious about what I am eating, not really restricting and I like it this way
- I think the accountability in the group is really great and it keeps me going, so thanks for that.
- Im eating healthy, I feel satisfied so thatā€™s a big Win for me
- I Lost 2kg in the 5 Day challenge so far
- I feel less bloated and lost a few cm
- Work keeps me so busy, but your coaching, the 5 day challenge keeps me motivated to stick to plan
- I entered the 15km Bastille Trail Run in July
- I no longer binge eat on junk food
- I definitely feel more confident

Thank you for never giving up on me, I see and feel the changes and will definitely keep myself motivated to push further, progress over perfection.

My non linear journey to health and fitness after 2 kids: ā£
This time it wasnā€™t about jumping back into shape as quickly as I could. It wasnā€™t also about only getting fit and strong, it was SO MUCH MORE. Having my second baby in my late 30s meant I was slaying dragons way beyond my comprehension, namely:ā£
Rebalancing my hormonesā£
Restoring gut healthā£
Battling demons and growing my awareness of past injuries (my L4&5 discs)ā£
Focusing on quality sleep ā£
Eating enough calories to support breastfeeding ā£
Rewiring my nervous system and reigniting my muscle memory. ā£

I had to say goodbye to every part of me I once was in order to transition into someone I never could imagine. I am so happy I didnā€™t do this alone. Dorian held every single one of my factors in his grasp and reminded me of the every day marathon, this wasnā€™t a sprint. His patience led me through some very dark days especially the ones where my once warmups became my actual workout. It was mentally debilitating but he never let me quit. He researched every detail about post partum exercise and provided me with extracts of knowledge I still apply to this day. My foundation rock solid, I could transition back to all the things I love - running, CrossFit and having enough energy for my very two busy boys. ā£

We really dialled into my nutrition fulfilling all my macronutrients but also focusing on micronutrients as this was critical in getting me back to health and fueling my energy stores. No foods were demonised only eaten in moderation with an emphasis on structuring the timing of my complex carbohydrates around my workouts pre and post which was the game changer!ā£

When I became a Parent I struggled to find balance and prioritized parenting/work over my personal health and wellbeing. I became overweight very qu**ky, had low energy, ate and drank whatever I wanted, usually the convenient/processed foods and one day I had a massive realization. ā£

My health and well being is my greatest asset, good health is the best wealth, with out good health I cannot perform great in other areas of my life. After that realization I decided to take action and invest into my health and wellbeingšŸ’Ŗā£

I started my health journey on a 5 Day Eat Clean Challenge, it was a small investment and commitment, that positively changed my live forever. I learned about the power of Nutrition. ā£

The focus was on nourishing and fuelling your body with the best nutrition, a nourished body can achieve anything. I also learned about simple healthy lifestyle habits that replaced my bad lifestyle habits, that was a game changer. It was easy to understand and simple to apply.I simply replaced my bad habits with healthy habits and saw amazing progress. ā£

One month done āœ”ļø I'm enjoying the online program thank you. Shoe those wall squat holds with the high pull, Yooooh Eina!!!! Felt the burn. First part of August did the training and ate what I wanted. Didn't loose anything actually gained a little bit. Last part of August really did good with my nutrition. Lost just over 2kg Very very happy about that. Excited for September! Im very happy to see the 1st week before I started the program I tried to do one air squat in the kitchen and fell over, I actually wanted to cry because I couldn't do one air squatšŸ¤£ and 3 weeks into the program I managed to do jump squats, thrusters with the bar and lunges with a 10kg dumbbell, so Im very happy with that.ā£

My eating is on track, love the meal prepping and not having to think about what Iā€™m going to eat. I feel my meals are getting smaller even though I am eating /snacking/regularly. Have more energy- started running again which has been awesome . I hope to keep that up at least x2 a week.

My Wins:
- Getting 10k-15k steps in per day
- Water in take 2litres and some days more
- Enjoying the meal prepping (I donā€™t have to think about whatā€™s for lunch or supper)
- I love the meal prepping of the eating plan - - - - I love having smoothies twice a day.
- I have dropped 5 kgs in total- and I see a major shape change in my body.
- I donā€™t get the tired slumps like I used to, energy is way higher throughout the day.
- I could definitely do this eating plan indefinitely
- My running feels good, I feel like itā€™s in improving all the time.
