The sad reality in SA is that without financial means to afford a good lawyer privately you are on the Percy of Legal Aid (who never get back to you) or Probono (who won't help in urgent matters or anything too complicated as they're overloaded) or an attorney willing to grant you a little time and advise as a favor.

Without transport you're relying on good will, favors or else public transport back and forth everywhere to get what you need done for the numerous court appearances never-ending the g*thering of documents and evidence. Without a support structure of friends or family willing to go out their way to phupysically help you or through just standing beside you when you cant take it anymor, this fight Is an exercise in futility.

Don't believe people who encourage you to use the courts...that they'll fight for you against a bully with money and means because they don't. Don't believe it's free, cause it's not. In total I've wasted on this round alone, R1400 in sheriff fees. I owe R1250 to an attorney for one day which I still have to pay for help that couldn't withstand the oppositions dirty play. Ive spent over R500 in transport back and forth, R500 in copies, printing and home affairs documents... never-ending hours of freelance work lost to the process. And the fight itself has left me emotionally drained, 10 x more crazy than before, and minus a lot of people who got tired of the situation and turned away to get on with their own lives. Last year I wasted trips to Johannesburg, R8000 to an advocate for a rule 43 that covid delayed and R1200 in sheriff fees prevented... all he had to do was make it impossible to serve him... and we had to start over.

The system doesn't care what the pretty typed up DOJ website says the process will be, it doesn't care what the costs of the child are actually, though they want you to stand on your head to prove it... in the end the Father's ability to afford (actually willing to pay is more like it ) is what will make the magistrates ruling. You can spend all your time and energy on a DIY maintenance case and rack up debt just on the admin that goes into it. End of the day they will say but he's proven he can't pay that... and how do you argue that?

The logic or lack thereof is highly disturbing... example being if the child costs R10000 a month and the mother earns R10000 and the father earns R100 000 the mother would pay R1000 and the father R9000 according to the law. But then the father juggles his figures and pays for loopholes to be found and says he can afford R4000 only. Where does the rest come from? You can't just make the basic costs go away... it's insanity.

So basically... no money means no lawyer. No lawyer means no chance. Why don't they ammend the law to say what is the actual way it is... you will take what you're given and that's that. If after the order he doesn't pay... then you can apply for a whole new fight to start . The beauracracy alone will cripple you and the lengthy process will break your back and bank and your child will get nothing.

And I'm not even mentioning the defamatory aspects... vicious and spitefully given information on your history or actions that aren't to be considered in these matters, but letsface it if it's already out there it's being considered and that's just how it is....

If you are lucky to have married a decent man who can distinguish between his break up from you and his duty to his child without punishing you for the one through the other, thank your lucky stars. If your ex is on a mission to ensure he destroys you and doesn't really worry about the affect of that on his child. .. best you run, and hide and leave any hope of a life where you don't cry everyday on the mat as you go... you will not win.

Dear followers and friends of Hyper Activism South Africa

Please share the page, invite your friends and review or comment on written content so this page can grow.

Its aim is to become a platform for the outspoken, the truthseekers, the believers who want to see the promises of a Better South Africa for All kept by the leaders elected to do the job. It isnt a nitpicking Karen or keyboard warrior platform, so please be mindful of what issues to raise. Keep it constructive, relevant and on point. I started this mini movement to be the home of the passive-fists, the people with hearts for the vulnerable amongst us and the wherewithal and intellect to stand their ground on their chosen battlefields, with respect and tact.

Activism isnt always being aggressive or violent and offensive. It doesnt have to involve marches and standoffs. It can, in the right hands, be a powerful and cunning tool for bringing about change without ruffling even one feather. But will allow a certain amount of feather ruffling if it makes a valid point. I wont however entertain racism or sexism, and any such comments or attitudes will be banned. Similarly, wolfpack attacks on someones comments or views will not be tolerated.

Otherwise, enjoy it. Use it, and let it serve a greater purpose!

Would you support a real initiative to the fight against domestic and gender based violence?
An initiative that was tech savvy, efficient, that pooled resources, and saw victims housed in safety not turned away or let down?

Floating a curve...congrats CR you rocked it.but then absolute power corrupts absolutely and I grew up in the 80s... we dont do totalitarianism.or have we become sheep,?

Did anyone else see the news24 article by the medical council of SA CEO damning the lockdown process?

My fellow SouthAfricans,

With each FB post, countless similarly themed stories, news articles, debates... it's becoming clear that there is an obvious agenda to divide the people of this country by scratching at old wounds. WE CANT LET IT DISTRACT US ANYMORE. By no means am I saying that colonialism, privilege, racism or disadvantages are not relevant or a reality of our past and present. Apartheid was real. It happened...there is a lot if work to do before it's no longer felt by those it affected.... if that's even possible. BUT THIS IS NOT ABOUT THAT.

Please open your eyes and pay attention to what your government is doing to you and I. While on the surface everything looks like transformation and reconciliation and amending past wrongs,if you step back and look carefully ....passed the fake news, the racially tinted stories here and there, the accusations and in*******al bickering online, you'll notice no one is watching what the big boys are doing at Luthuli House. While we argue over class and colonialism, banning booze and ci******es, we are being brainwashed into totalitarianism.

I grew up in the 80s where there was a minority of sheep and a majority of brave believers who wouldnt stand for what was going on. This country is built on the fight for what is right... so where are those fighters now? Right isnt a colour,a race, a privilege or a heritage... right is right. And this government is making a mockery of us all just like the all white Apartheid one did. Making false promises, infighting tension, fear, police are everywhere, curfews... for a virus yes, but it's all being abused and overused and there's no end date in sight... and when asked, there are no answers for the people who voted them in.

Is no one else as uncomfortable with this as I am? Your thoughts please?

Forget race.... it means nothing. We are one people with a common enemy. Start thinking that way. That's how we win this

TO ALL THE PEOPLE OF SA...

I've read many many posts about white men donating huge money to Covid19 and not being thanked by the president... but Mr Motsepe was.. .and each day more and more stories are popping up in this vein. I can feel the racial heat rising, let's not get distracted by black vs white propaganda. Divide and conquer... careful....

This is not a race or class issue, it's not about who deserves what for their default heritage or privilege. We can point fingers all we like and they, the ANC Government can excuse it a million ways but at the end of the day, we are heading fast down a one way path to self destruction in our country. OUR COUNTRY. Yes, we have an ugly past but we the people of SA put our future in the hands of the current Leaders who are failing us daily with contradictions, lies and hypocrisy shortly after asking us as a nation to please play nice and let them lead us out of this pandemic. But we are not naive children... and we remember what it's like to live in fear of a government and have soldiers walking the streets, curfews and other divide-and-conquer tactics to oppress and control us to further their own twisted agendas.

We are at a pivotal point here, people. We can stand against each other with fingers pointed at our differences and the scars from our past still fresh in our minds and hearts... we can bicker on Fb and name call and ban nasty phrases and words and label each other and obey spiteful unexplained rules while we break each others cultures, colours and religious beliefs apart with words and accusation... or we can do things differently this time.

Apartheid as a concept was built on fear and hatred and anger by those who felt they had the right to tear us apart, divide us up and put us all in our separate but unequal play pens whilst teaching us to see each other other as each others enemy. They used our black and white and Indian and coloured Ancestors to build a sick and twisted society where we accepted it long enough for it to do the damage it did. It took a lot of good people dying, many years of fighting, irreparable hurt and unnecessary damage to make it stop.

DO NOT LET IT HAPPEN AGAIN.

Its no secret that in a citizen-divided civil war we will all lose. I know we are still healing from our past... BUT there isnt time for that now. Our children deserve better than we had it. Let them truly be the Born Free Generation we promised theyd be. Free from what the mindsets programmed into us and blind to the differences between us.

Unless we are prepared to unite as a Nation the odds are against us here. However, if we move fast, join forces as humans and SA citizens... we are suddenly a force to be reckoned with and they dont come close to having the power currently being handed to them over us.

There are 59 million of us... the civilians out number the government, saps, sandf etc by millions. They cant even keep their own s**t together with all the infighting and backstabbing going on behind the scenes.

Let's see them try take us all on... at once...as one people this time. They dont stand a chance against that.

04/05/2020

If you've had enough of the gravy train it's time we got ourselves together, put aside our bulls**t and say enough us enough... they lied to all of us ... they made us revere a man and tryst hisxword, before making his name g*t confront of his people. They can take us all down...so long as we are not divided. I wish we were immune to intolerance, blinded to colour and united in our anger because these mofos are only where they are until we say otherwise. Am I right?

But it means the race, priviledge and colonialism bs is shelved for now ... focus here... the only way we can stop them is together.

Thus isn't politics... time for takings over now.
No more

South Africa, we put this government where it is... they work for us... public servants are meant to serve ALL the people. it's time they realised that.
