Awareness day!!

Yesterday, our high school observed an Awareness Day, featuring presentations from various organizations to educate learners on critical issues. The event aimed to empower students with knowledge and skills to make informed decisions and navigate challenges effectively.

Nicro led a session on the dangers of substance abuse and theft, highlighting the negative consequences these actions can have on individuals' lives.

The Hawks and SAPS jointly presented on human trafficking, warning learners about the risks and providing guidance on how to be cautious and what steps to take if they find themselves in a trafficking situation.

Allan Gray representatives spoke to the learners about the opportunities available to young people through their organization and encouraged a mindset shift to help students reach their full potential.

Overall, the Awareness Day was an enriching experience, equipping our learners with valuable insights and practical advice to navigate life's challenges.

"Today in science class, we conducted an engaging experiment to explore the different chambers of the heart. Through a dissection activity, we examined the internal structure of the heart, focusing on the following components:

- Atriums (upper chambers)
- Ventricle (lower chambers)
- Blood vessels

This hands-on experience allowed us to gain a deeper understanding of the heart's anatomy and how it functions to circulate blood throughout the body. By observing the different sections and chambers, we gained valuable insights into the heart's vital role in our circulatory system.

"We are thrilled to announce that our Grade 6 learner, Israel Gwani, has achieved outstanding success in the Reading Riot competition. Israel secured first place in the Eastern Cape for Round 2 and progressed to the Round 3 live competition in Pretoria, where he received a special mention for placing 10th overall across all provinces.

We are incredibly proud of Israel's accomplishment and would like to extend our congratulations to him on this remarkable achievement. His dedication and hard work have truly paid off, and we look forward to seeing his continued growth and success."

Our high school learners have done their bit for Mandela day.
They went to East London child and youth care centre to donate the non perishable items. This is an ongoing initiative, we urge our parents to continue to send what they can.
