I can finally share this! I’ve been sitting on this amazing shoot for MONTHS. A huge thank you to Garden Route & Klein Karoo Weddings for the wonderful opportunity to do this shoot, and to the incredible people who I got to work with. It was truly an honour!

I may have stayed up until 1am editing because I was just too dang excited. But can you blame me?

Toni and Patrick absolutely killed it at their engagement shoot. Even though the wind was a little rough, nothing stopped these two from getting perfect images. From climbing up the rocks, popping champagne and jumping in the water, these two understood the assignment.

Odelia & Thomas's Wedding - Studio Rainn As a photographer, there are moments when I have the privilege of witnessing the purest form of love, and Thomas and Odelia's wedding day at Gecko Ridge Venue was one such occasion. On the 5th of May 2023, amidst the serene beauty of Gecko Ridge, this beautiful couple exchanged vows and embarked on....

We have a new arrival! Congratulations to Morgan and Coetzee on the birth of their beautiful baby boy!

They say a wedding dress is worn only once, but Ally proved to be the exception to the rule. Alongside her husband Sean, she fearlessly ventured into the icy waters of the Kaaiman's River to bid farewell to her dress in the most spectacular fashion.

Trash the dress shoots, or as I affectionately call them, drown the gown shoots, are a post-wedding tradition aimed at bidding adieu to the wedding dress. It's a poignant way to create more memories with the garment and, most importantly, with each other. I've dreamt of orchestrating a shoot like this for over a decade, and the wait was worth it.

Despite the icy waters and sharp rocks, Ally and Sean's spirits remained high throughout the shoot. They were the epitome of the perfect couple, embracing silliness and joy in front of the camera with ease.

As winter approaches in the Garden Route, I may have to wait a while for another opportunity to capture such magic. But after years of anticipation and enduring challenges, a few more months is a small price to pay. Thank you, Ally and Sean, for entrusting me with these precious memories.
