HYDAC Technology South Africa has been involved with our client Legacy Marine in Port Elizabeth.

We embarked on a journey to optimize their hydraulic system and keep the space and weight down for their 16m high speed research vessels.
Through using HYDAC’s tank optimization software, we were able to reduce the hydraulic tank volume from 320L down to 150L, this resulted in a 200kg weight saving.
The tank optimization also resulted in better oil circulation and the de-aeration of the oil.
The diffuser style return filter ensures laminar flow of the oil into the tank and the bubbles move to the surface sooner.
Through intelligent use of modern resources, we were able to supply a perfect fit solution to our client.

Industry 4.0 - HYDAC can access and monitor our FAM, currently located on a site in the Northern Cape, from our office in Johannesburg. Remote monitoring can easily be added to most systems with a PLC, which gives the user access from anywhere in the world. Through remote, real time monitoring, we can analyse accurate data and make decisions based on this information

HydacZA is busy with configuration and testing of a control panels for a load out chute hydraulic system.

Shane Loots Electrical is a small business started in 2021 that Hydac is offering the opportunity to grow and develop into the industry. With regular interact with our engineering team, the system is refined to me meet our high quality standards. With sharing knowledge, we all grow together.

HydacZA was recently on a vessel in Mozambique to do testing and recording of the hydraulic system. Our technician Jovan tested the moorning winches, forward and aft to collect data for the dry dock overhaul planned for the coming months.

While visiting the client, Jovan was called out to a second vessel, where he repaired the hydraulics for the anchor windless winches, and saved the client thousands of dollars in oil loss.

At Hydac all of our coolers are tested after assembly to ensure they meet our quality standards. The coolers are monitored for pressure and flow using our HMG4000 with sensors.

We would like to thank our workshop team for assembling this batch of coolers. They take pride in assembling and delivering top quality products to our clients.

HYDAC has recently manufactured 2 bearing lubrication units. The units are currently being tested to check operational performances. The testing data is being recorded by the HYDAC HMG data logger.

The unit is fitted with a primary and standby motor pump set for lubrication and jacking of the bearings on a mill.

To protect the bearings from contaminants, the unit are fitted with change-over inline filters, to condition the oil before entering the bearings, as well as a desiccant breather on the tank, which dries the air being drawn in.

This thickener drive power pack is being setup for hydraulic testing. All of our power packs are tested after manufacturing to ensure the system meets our clients expectations. Contact us for your hydraulic system requirements and our expert team will assist you.

Fixed maintenance intervals belong to the past! Among other things, the VFL determines the remaining service life of filter elements in customised applications.
