Leam Kühn het 20 - 23 Junie aan die TSA Kaapstad Winter Toernooi deelgeneem.
Leam het fantasties gevaar en het 4de geëindig in die seuns 0/12 enkels afdeling (16 spelers).
Leam en sy dubbelsmaat het ook die seuns 0/12 dubbelsafdeling gewen deur in die finaal met die 1ste gekeurde dubbelspaar af te reken.

Baie geluk Leam, jy maak ons skool trots! Dit is so 'n mooi voorbeeld vir die res van ons tennis sterre om te sien dat harde werk word beloon.

Joubert Tennis Academy - Hermanus Tennis Academy hosted a little in-house tournament on Saturday to give all our players the opportunity to put into play all they have learnt this term.

Match play is such an important component of the development of these young players.
So proud of our players as young as 6 years old, who played their first little tournament!

The weather was perfect and our players had so much fun!!

It also became very apparent that our young players aspire to become ball boys and girls at the French Open in a few years- already showing such skill!! :-)

On Saturday many of our JTA players braced a chilly early morning in Worcester and Ceres to play the Cavalier Junior ProKennex tournament.

We are very proud of their effort and results!!

It is a busy tennis day for our JTA players.
We have some facing a chilly morning in Worcester for the ProKennex tournament. We have some playing our local in-house tournament.
We also have 5 players taking part in the u.13 Cavalier Interpro trials.

You make JTA very proud! Have fun, give it your best and enjoy the sunshine!!

Important- remember good sportmanship and be a worthy opponent with great manners!

Our 5 players are on their way back from the TSA Junior Nationals and they have made us só proud!!!

Well done to Heike Keulder who made it to the Top16 in the u.14 Girls after winning her first two matches!

Stefan Stieger and Suritha Lamprecht also had first round wins in the u.16's, ending in the Top 32.

Jean Joubert and Anje Joubert had close 1st round losses and made up for it in the next matches.

Jean and Stefan had a close defeat against the nr2 seeds in the Main draw doubles 2nd round.
Heike and her partner lost in the 2nd round Main doubles against the nr 4 seeds.
Anje and her partner lost in the 2nd round Main draw doubles against the nr 2 seeds.

Well done to Suritha who played in the Gold Draw u.16 doubles final!!!

It was hot, it was long, you were tough and we are sooo proud!!
Great wins, clooooooose losses, tough matches, grit and guts, you gave it all competing with the top players in the country!!!!

So proud of 5 of our Joubert Tennis Academy - Hermanus Tennis Academy players who have qualified for the TSA Junior Nationals Tournament in Bloemfontein and will participate from 21-26 March.

The Top 60 players in South Africa in each age group qualify to participate.
It is a 64-draw tournament where the best players in the country compete- super tough indeed!

Best of luck to Anje Joubert (u.12), Heike Keulder (u.14), Surita Lamprecht (u.16), Stefan Stieger (u.16) and Jean Joubert (u.16)!

Vyf van ons tennisspelers het die afgelope naweek die Wes-Kaap Kavaliers (voorheen Boland) tennisspan in Hartenbos by die Synergy Cup verteenwoordig. Surita Lamprecht o19A, Heike Keulder o15A, Lukas Calitz o15A, Jean Joubert o19A en Sophia Thorpe o19B

Die Kavaliers het die o.15 en 19-afdeling van die toernooi gewen! Baie geluk!

Stefan Stieger het die afgelope naweek aan die TSA Mini Tennistoernooi in Kaapstad deelgeneem.

Stefan en sy dubbelsmaat het die Seuns onder 16 Dubbels gewen en Stefan het ook 2de geëindig in die Seuns u.16 Enkels.

Die Kavalier-span het ook die afgelope naweek GOUD gewen!

TENNIS

Mieke Saayman, gr. 11, (links) en Minke du Toit (gr. 12) het die o.19B Wes-Kaap Kavaliers tennisspan hierdie naweek in Hartenbos by die Synergy Cup verteenwoordig. Die twee BD's het teen spelers van vier ander streke meegeding.

Die Kavaliers het die o.19-afdeling van die toernooi gewen! Baie geluk, dogters!

On 9 March many of our JTA players took part in the Stellenbosch ProKennex tournament.
We are incredibly proud of their guts in the warm Boland heat. They played very well!
