Thabiso and qina Jita partnered and hosted an event in honour of Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month, Dance Against Stigma: Embracing Strength & Vulnerability. This event was seeking to challenge outdated notions of “toxic masculinity,” including the harmful stereotype that “men don’t cry” or that certain activities are inappropriate for men.Thabiso was by a few of his fellow Mr. South Africa brothers as well as other guests

The event started off with a fun ballet class, at Suninghil village Ketz dance and will was followed by a “fireside” conversation facilitated by the South African Depression & Anxiety Group to discuss amongst others, how mental illness manifests itself in men as compared to women, as well as ways for men to seek help, considering the fact that South Africa ranks 10th in the world in terms of su***de, with men forming 80% of the statistics.
