The best source of information you can find about an area business, is through other business owners. One way smaller operators can secure contracts is by sub- contracting.

Subcobtracting occurs when a company ( your embroidery business for instance) contracts to a third party (UBA - one of the few I knew that conducts business in this manner). By doing this, your company is not acknowledged as the principle company ( the one who owns the contract). Most principle companies recieve big contracts. In this case, UBA universities may need bags made from scratch, embroidery or printing on them or t - shirts and hoodies. Though they have the contract, they may not have the capacity to take on the task by themselves. Therefore, needing you to carry out part of their requirements at a fee.

Getting your name out there is important. But subcobtracting will help you stay in business long enough to devise a networking strategy to gain you the confidence to knock on the right doors.

Areas to look into:
Manufacturing - they need their raw materials delivered to their workshops/ factories

Agriculture - farmers use road freight haulers to move their animals food, chemicals such as fertilizers and pesticides, livestock and agricultural products are transported by road.

Wholesalers: They need to have their stock delivered to their warehouse or outlets

Not all trucks have to be in the office/ furniture / refuse removal space. There are oppotunities across the board

So someone dubbed you into buying a product in bulk under the guise that it was an oppotunity for profit... but they forgot to teach you how to move it!
