Mighty Mukuru Wanderers Chief Executive Officer Panganeni Ndovi says he is not aware of coach Nsazurwimo Ramadhan’s resignation.

Ndovi says his office has not received any communication on the matter and described the news as speculation making rounds in media circles.

“If the coach has, indeed, left his job, we expect him to follow the right channel and if it is, indeed, true, then the available technical staff members will take up his role, with Meck Mwase, his deputy, taking over in the meantime,” he says.

Ndovi says while recent results are indeed a big concern, it is too early to press the panic button.

“We understand the concerns of our fans. The coaches are also aware that the fans are not happy with the results but, very soon, the team will start getting good results. The team is work in progress,” Ndovi said.

Ramadhan says he addressed his resignation letter to Wanderers president Thomson Mpinganjira.

The Burundian has thrown in the towel after two 2-0 consecutive losses to Silver Strikers and Mzuzu City Hammers.

Times Group Sports Journalist Peter Fote has emerged the Best Radio Commentator in the Airtel Zamadolo Top 8 Season 5 for 2022 edition.

Fote walks away with a miniature trophy, a certificate and K200,000 prize money as well as a golf shirt.

"2022 was my first time taking the tournament as a full commentator, where previously i only appeared as an analyst, i am happy to win this accolade," a jubilant Fote

Football Association of Malawi has released a list of three nominees for the 2022 Airtel Top 8 player of the tournament award.

The three are Nyasa Big Bullets defender Gomezgani Chirwa and Mighty Mukuru Wanderers duo of striker Chiukepo Msowoya and defender Miracle Gabeya.

The winner will be crowned at a special ceremony to be hosted by the sponsors Airtel Malawi in February.
