If my calculations are correct E36 + E36 = K24 right?
You'd think that doesn't make sense, but it will it a few minutes. If you missed it in my stories over the last two months, I bought a BMW E36 and then one more. As for the K24, yes it will become a Honda K24 swapped build of course. It's a thought I'd had in my mind for quite some time and it feels like a dream come true to finally be making it happen.
After being busy forever, I finally went to go see both cars, which has been standing by Jono from who will also be doing the build.
It might not look like too much now, but I have some very particular and hopefully cool plans for these two cars that'll become one.
Check out my project log which will be starting out on soon and I'll also be doing a YouTube series on the whole project for those that'll be interested.

I actually wasn't going to make it this year, but made a plan minute and I'm so glad I did. I got to shoot the launch photos for the new BMW South Africa M2 in its racing livery as well as shooting the rest of their insane cars over the weekend and they are such a pleasure to work with.

I have so much love and want for the Toyota SA GR Yaris, more of an obsession actually. I recently got to film Greg Parton's balls to the wall version at Dezzi Raceway, producing 350kW that's also rocking a sequential gearbox, MoTeC ecu and a whole bunch of other stuff, all while still being a daily. The perfect daily!
Built by one of the best in the game Steve Clark from Gutzeit Clark Racing

I'm off to my favourite motorsport event of the year, the epic Simola Hillclimb. I've been going since 2011, when it was much more grassroots and each yeah it's just gotten exponentially better!
This year will be the craziest line up ever with immense local and international machines and talent
You can of course see who I'm rooting for, having quite a close connection with the Franco Scribante Racing team and seeing how much effort, late nights and non-stop dedication they put into everything
If anyone is looking for some photo/video content during the event hit me up!
I'll be shooting on my epic Sony Alpha SA gear and they'll also be giving me some extra long reach stuff to take with which I can't wait to use!
See you all down there!
Almost time for the Simola Hillclimb. The best motorsport event in the country by a mile.

After lots of planning I finally got to film Franco Scribante Racing insane Porsche for the Cars.co.za channel.
If you haven't seen this thing in action, best make sure you go watch the next race, because along with being the fastest tin-top car around, it's also the best looking by far.
A big thanks to Zwartkops Raceway for the track time.
Filmed on the amazing Sony Alpha SA A7Siii and 24-70 f2.8 GMII

A short while ago, Ford Motor Company gave me the outgoing Ranger Raptor to test for a week and you might think that it's quite late to be driving it for the first time and yes it is indeed. That's not necessarily a bad thing though. Driving it so soon before the release of the new 292kw monster, is great for me, because when I get to drive the latest one, the comparison would be really fresh in my mind.
So what's my thoughts on it? Well I did the normal city driving that most bakkies do, where it was great. Potholes and pavements suddenly became a thing of the past and being up so high you instantly feel safer than in a car. With the big meaty tyres, it does feel a bit slower than a normal Ranger to be honest, but I was most surprised with how quiet the cabin is inside with such big A/T tyres. It's really a refined space to be in, way better than any of the other marques of the same age.
Take it off-road though and damn is it proper. You can instantly feel that it's in its natural habitat. What it was built for. The suspension is worlds apart from any other bakkie I've driven and the amount of travel is epic. It's been mentioned so many times by everyone's that reviewed this, but I'll mentioned it again. That Baja mode is way too much fun.
On my whole trip I also averaged roughly 10-11L per 100km, which is really good, and something the new one definitely won't achieve.
In a nutshell, the new Ranger Raptor is of course epic, with a whole new design and that monstrous powerplant, amongst loads of new tech, but you should certainly not rule this one out just yet.
You can save at least R200-300k and you won't have get a fuel tanker as a support vehicle. Also you'll actually be able to get one, because the new one has been flying out of dealers with crazy demand.
Used car dealers that had sneaky allocations to re-sell are already selling them for up to R1.4 million just because they have stock. That's R300k over the new price, so you can save closer to R400-R500k by getting the previous generation bakkie.
Either way, whether you're getting the previous gen Raptor Ranger or the all-new one, you certainly won't be disappointed!
Thanks again Ford
