Biography
Alick Granger, MBL
CEO South Bison Office Automation
Alick Granger is a graduate from the UNISA School of Business Leadership in Midrand, South Africa. Alick successfully completed business degree programmes which include.
• 2007 Bachelor of Commerce (BCOM) Degree UNISA
• 2013 Master of Business Leadership (MBL) degree UNISA
• 2014 Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment Programme (BEEMdP) UNISA
In 2014 Alick was awarded winner for the best presentation in the Social Sciences category, at the annual UNISA Research & Innovation Showcase competition. Alick was selected to participate and represent South Africa at two international student exchange programs hosted in Mumbai, India 2014 and Shanghai, China 2015.
On the career front, in 2007, Alick was appointed Key Accounts Manager at Bearing Man Group (BMG) a subsidiary of JSE Listed Invicta Holdings. During his tenure within the group, he held the roles of General Manager Filtration Division, Group Transformation Manager and on his exit in 2018 he held the position of Group Business Development Executive responsible for localization in the platinum sector.
In October 2018, Alick established South Bison Office Automation in response to peripheral research pertaining to printing support conducted at rural schools in Greater Taung, Northwest. The research was conducted using a convenience sample of cluster schools and resulted in key research findings which formed the basis of establishing a competing business model in the market. The business value proposition includes print cost reduction, introduction of 4IR print technologies, local youth empowerment through skills development and localization of supplies and technical support.
The development of the South Bison brand continues to be enhanced by the close association and partner status with world class IT giant Hewlitt Packard (HP). This association has strategically positioned South Bison Office Automation to provide market access for the youth to this 4th Industrial Digital Revolution Digital Print Technology.
Alick is passionate about youth empowerment and recognizes the need for youth mobilization for the acquisition of soft and hard skills. The courses offered on the HP Platform are internationally accredited and certified and are key to ensuring that the youth benefit from this inclusive growth strategy as 4IR print technologies evolve.
