Pincushion Height's luxury apartments are self-catering. We provide fruit, yoghurt, muesli and treats for your first breakfast with us. We love to share local spots with visitors. Sandwich Shack is one of our favourite spoils! The delicious cinnamon swirls are a MUST for any visitor to Knysna.

We are so excited to launch our first batch of home-grown honey! The luxuriously dark honey is from the fynbos species on our property. Each guest gets a free sample to enjoy with the yoghurt and muesli we provide for your first morning. It is delicious! We love it so much we have arranged for another hive. Come and taste for yourself.

These Watsonia's are incredible plants! They are dotted all around the property and bloom at the end of winter. We recently harvested over 500 bulbs! They are safely stored in a dark spot until next year when we fill our garden with them again. Through the year, we give them as keepsakes to guests to take a piece of Pincushion Heights home with them.

Our dream and vision for Pincushion Heights was to not only share the breathtaking views and tranquil surroundings of our family home, but to share a piece of ourselves. Each family member has their own talent that adds a personal touch to the Pincushion Heights experience. Nicole drew the beautiful fynbos drawings that you'll see in each of rooms. Lee-Ann sewed the gorgeous cushions for each room. Ursula's happy place is her garden and loves nothing more that showcasing the beautiful plants along the Fynbos path. Peter is a wood-worker extra-ordinaire - you'll sign the Pincushion Heights register using one of his handmade pens!

Each of our 4 rooms is named after an indigenous plant that can be enjoyed as you stroll through the Fynbos Path on our property.

The iconic national flower of South Africa, the protea, generally flowers in Spring. We are especially proud of our Madiba Proteas!

The Protea Room boasts a large living room with a chaise lounger and desk overlooking the gorgeous Buffalo Bay - the ideal spot to page through a book and relax as you soak in the views. It has a kitchenette complete with Nespresso coffee-machine. The bedroom has a king-size bed and en-suite shower. This is eco-luxury at its best!

Attempt number 3 on our veggie garden! The roaming buck and bush pigs love our veggie garden as much as we do and secretly sneak in at night to plough and harvest. Hopefully the raised beds will do the trick!

Each of our 4 rooms is named after indigenous plants that can be found on our property as you stroll through the Fynbos Garden Path. The distinctive Pincushions flower between July and November. We have red, yellow, orange and salmon coloured pincushions on the property.

Pincushion Room has a juliette balcony overlooking the gorgeous fynbos gardens. It boasts a lounge with a reading chair next to the juliette balcony to enjoy the ocean breeze. This room has a kitchenette, lounge, bedroom with a king-size bed and en-suite shower. This is eco-luxury at its best!

Succulent Room is our most spacious room with magnificent sea views. Wake up to the ocean breeze from your king-size bed. It boasts a fully equipped kitchen with a stove and oven, perfect for long-term self-catering stays. It has an ensuite shower that is stocked with shampoo and body wash. One of the things we are most proud of, is our 'off-grid' lifestyle. Loadshedding or water outages need not dampen on your holiday! We have a large number of solar panels to power the guesthouse for extended periods of time. Our showers run on gas geysers. Also, the house runs on collected rainwater and filtration systems, and is not reliant on muncipal water. This is eco-luxury at its best!

We encourage all our guests to take a stroll along the Fynbos Path to take in the spectacular variety of fynbos plants endemic to the Garden Route area. Throughout the year, there is a wealth of fynbos treasures to discover in our gardens. Not to mention the views and birdlife you'll enjoy along the way!
