Police hunt five armed robbery suspects after ATM bombing in Lydenburg

This morning at 01:30 two response vehicles of Tech Nofi heard an explosion in Kantoor street, they drove to the area when armed suspects started to shoot at them. The response members realized that it was a ATM bombing and started to shoot back at the suspects. The BMW the suspects were using was shot several times by the response members. One response vehicle was hit with bullets but the brave members stood their ground and managed to overpower the gunfight and the suspects started to chase away the response members kept on shooting at the suspects vehicle and hit the vehicle several times again. Backup was called and other members from Tech Nofi assisted. Explosives in a bag was left behind on the crime scene. I'm proud of these members who put their lives in danger to protect others.

Hulle het 2x verdagtes vas getrek wat in n ander groot vragmotor probeer wegkruip het. Die vragmotor is afgtrek die 2 verdagtes is gearresteer. Die gesteelde vragmotor en selfoon en vuurwapen wat gebruik is tydens die roof is gevind waar hulle probeer ontslae raak het van die items
