We want young people to have a better understanding of the realities of living with HIV and know how to protect themselves from acquiring HIV. Our NGO provides guidance for tutors on teaching about HIV, along with a range of engaging lesson plans and activities for learning the key facts about HIV, what it is like living with HIV, and how to take action on HIV stigma. We adopted a slogan that says " if you do not know your status, then you do not know your future ".

General experience of stakeholders with regard to Intsa Yethu Mandela Day Celebration:
Learners from various local school surrounding midrand had fun cleaning the environment while building mutual bonds and friendships with one another. Learners started to value hygiene which led to talking points about appreciating government employees that are deployed to collect waste and empty trash bins in the local communities. There were a lot of smiles shared, and hard labour put on the day. The experience learners had made them build their communication skills, teamwork ethics, working in an organised manner, respect for one another when addressing each other or sharing duties, and concentration in getting the job done. This was an opportunity that unlocked learners experience of how it is like to put out effort to create a cleaner and safer environment for the local communities.
