On the third day of our nationwide self isolation we start to appreciate the little things (well in this case it's not so little!)

Look at this incredibly beautiful caterpillar we found in a client's garden... Nature is amazing!

Sometimes a good clean-up some gravel and neat lines are al that you require to create a peaceful area in the garden.

Shades of green.
The Vibernum sinensis hedge to the left has large dark green leaves and the Durantha (sheenas gold) arround the pool has a much smaller leaf and a bright green color which creates defining contrast in the garden.

Sometimes a small change can make a world of difference!

Infinity waterfeature - We turned this dull, still standing fishpond into a spectacular showpiece with an infinity effect. Just listen how magical it sounds and looks. It has an automatic Irrigation system and a total of 29 000 liters an hour flow rate.

Dietes grandiflora (Butterfly Iris)
Widely used in corporate and residential landscapes.

An evergreen perrenial that grows best in full sun. They can grow up to 1.5m, forming large clumps.
The long, sword-shaped leaves are dark green and can reach up to 1m tall with the attractive flowers forming all arround the plant.

Definition of lawn scarification (Google) - Scarification is carried out to remove organic matter from around the base of the grass plants and tidy up any straggly lateral growth. In a nutshell, scarification removes material, probably in the form of thatch or moss that will otherwise prevent good dense grass growth.

Queens college boys hostel garden with a great fire place for the boys to relax and braai on Sunday's...

By joining two separate garden areas we created a large open lawn area for the boys to play on.
