Klient kom na ons toe met goedkoop China slotte en vra vir 14 duplikaat sleutels .. Ons ervaaring met daai spesifieke slotte is hulle is Skrap ! ..en is glad nie toepaslik vir gebruik op 'n hek waar daar baie voet verkeer in en uit is ..Dit gaan breek binne 'n paar dae en dan het jy nie net jou geld vir die slot en duplikaat sleutels verloor maar hy moet die hele lot weer vervang . En die duplikaat sleutels aleen sou oor R800 gewees het !.Moet ons nie kwalik neem as ons dit vir jou vertel en advies gee om dit te gaan omruil vir 'n beter kwaliteit slot. Ja ons kon al die sleutels gesny het en jou geld gevat maar on alle eerlikheid ons het gevoel dit is nie die regte ding om te doen en daarvoor jou geadviseer om dit te gaan omruil .. Miskien was hy kwaad omdat ons hom vertel het dat die slot skrap was en iewers anders heen gegaan om die sleutels te sny by iemand wat net sy geld gevat het .. So as julle na ons toe kom met 'n goedkoop China slot en ons vertel jou dit skrap is en nie lank gaan hou , moet ons nie kwalik neem ...ons gee jou net goeie advies om jou geld te spaar .

Ons weet Mossel baai het sy deel van skelms ...maar skelm pensionarisse wat is iets nuuts ..vanmore loop 'n ou tannie van Bayview in met 'n slot sonder sleutel en vra vir 'n sleutel ...Slot is agter toe gevat , oopgemaak , skoongemaak en 'n sleutel is daarvoor gevind . Dan vra sy vir nog twee ander sleutels .Een was standard maar die ander moes ons verkieslik die slot ook he om dit reg te maak . .Toemaar , sy vat die slot waarvoor ons 'n sleutel gemaak het en die een standard duplikaat .Totaal met pendionaris afslag was R70 . Sy kom 'n uur later weer terug woedend kwaad en soek 'n refund . Sy was iewers anders en die sleutel wat ons vir die slot gekry het goedkoper as ons gekoop . Sy het nie in ag geneem die arbeid om die slot ooptemaak , skoon maak en sleutel te kry . Ek vra haar vir die twee sleutels wat sy gevat het .. Nee .. sy sweer blind sy het net een gevat ..en nogals gebruik die sleutel se nommer wat ons vir die slot gekry het om n ander te koop. Weier om vir die tyd en arbeid te betaal en dring aan sy het net een sleutel gevat .. Aan die pensionaris tanie .. Om stryery te voorkom ek het jou R70.uitbetaal maat nie net het jy 'n sleutel gesteel maar ook geweier om vir tyd en arbeid te betaal . Toemaar ..Jou foto is op kamera en gaan op die muur vas geplak word as skelm mense met wie jy nie besigheid moet doen ...Skaam jou mevrou .. maag die Here jou herinner oor jou skelm optrede vandag .

Our fees of R450 are for the call out and first hour of labor . Plus stock gets added on . I have seen a post where someone was charged R2500 by a mobile locksmith for a job which should have cost no more than R850 - R900 .
There is a trend in Gauteng to advertise "Call out fee R150 " . So you happily accept the quote thinking that that is what you going to pay and are then given an account for anything up to R4500 . These uncrupulous contractors add on materials and spare for ten times what the pay for it and load your bill that way . They charge a separate fee for call out , a separate fee for labor , plus overcharges on materials . This trend seems to be coming to Mossel Bay unfortunately.
