We did our first rally for year on Sat in Bronkhorstspruit.. it went well.
Only broke a left front shock on the rough roads we had to negotiate..

I did some testing on sat..

We are entering the Tour de Bronx rally on Sat 17 Aug in Bronkhorstspruit.

Bus went well.. i was a bit rusty but got better as i did more laps.

Please come and spectate..

To the Rally4 Fun display at the Willem Prinloo Agricultiral Museum Mampoer Fees in Rayton.

We have sorted the wiring.. fitted 2x new fuel pumps, done wheel alignment, set the timing, bled the brakes and fitted a new battery..

This is what i love about Rallying the combi... fans...

Ok... where to start... dissaster week end.. en route to Dullstroom the altinator on our Merc Vito tow car started to have issues..

We made it to Dullstroom.. then back to Belfast to find an Auto Electrician to fix the Altinator. We Found Sarel from Peets Auto elec. He made a plan to help us.. fixed up in about 2 hours with Toyota parts.. he really went out of his way to help.. thanks.

Sat we did one stage... then in stage 2 we broke a rack end.. call Sarel again... he finds us a new one in Belfast.. Lindy and Des rush to collect it and wait to bring it to us in the stage.. 5 mins and we are running again.. but we are out the rally as we missed 2 stages..

We can rejoin for seat time... lets go..

We spin out in the mud..
Try to pull out a stuck Polo... then hit a tree.. eish.. then the syncro dies.. timing jumped..

Johann Fourie tows us out after the stage and we fix the syncro in service..

Day 2... eish... 2km into stage 1 the syncro dies again.. we check timing.. its good.
Both fuel pumps are messing around.. aux pump is running but with no pressure.. main pump is dead..

Rally is over.. we go back to tow the syncro out.. and manage to get it to run.

Bad day yesterday at the Dullstroom Rally.. only managed to do one stage.. broke a right rack end on stage 2.. fixed it then on very wet abd muddy stage5 we spun out in a tight section , hit a tree further on then lost the cambelt cover... cam belt jumped a few teeth... we could not fix that in the stage.. got towed back to service park.. set the timing.. started first turn.. we are ready to try again today.. hopefully it goes better today...

Now we can start to reassemble the rally syncro .

Still a bit of welding to do..bit we are getting there slowly..

2 weeks to go for the Trac N4 National Rally in Dullstroom on 17 and 18 Nov..
