To get the ability to problem-solve, the ability to apply logic and reason in order to analyse and explain. It is the ability to use numbers, information or data to help solve real-world problems. By developing numeracy, students are able to develop a deeper understanding of the world we live in.

What is mathematical literacy ?

Mathematical literacy is defined as: "an individual's capacity to formulate, employ and interpret mathematics in a variety of contexts. It includes reasoning mathematically and using mathematical concepts, procedures, facts and tools to describe, explain and predict phenomena.
