If you have not done so yet, go and register for the competition. The registration process is easy and all you have to come up with to enter the competition, is a lesson plan topic and idea. Once ou are registered you will be able to chage your topic and develop your lesson plan. Go and register here www.ispasuperteachers.co.za

If you are still looking for a reason why you should enter, here are 10!!!!

1) It is an entry level competition. Even if you have just started using technology like laptops, cell phones and tablets in your classroom, you will be guided throughout the competition process to use the technology effectively and come up with a great lesson plan.

2) As there are 2 categories for technology advanced and disadvantaged schools, you will not be competing against tech rich schools if you are from a school that does not have access to a lot of technology.

3) We are looking for novel ideas of using mobile devices in a classroom setting. Some of the most innovative projects have been were a teacher only had access to one cell phone, but used it so well for teaching and learning in her classroom!

4) You will get support throughout the competition. From the moment you enter you there are supportive mentors who will help you when you get stuck.

5) The competition provides a great platform for learning more about how to use technology in your classroom- It provides you with a plan and strategy for integrating ICT into your lessons.

6) The competition has been the precursor for teachers to move onto greater things, other competitions – it has opened many doors for finalists and winners. Most of our finalists and winners have gone on to be innovative tech leaders and trainers for other teachers.

7) Going to iWeek is really an exciting experience, where you can mingle with some of the big innovators in the tech field.

8) There are also opportunities for attending free courses and workshops for teachers participating in the competition.

9) Being an makes you part of the learning community of practice where we share resources, information and learning.
