Significant to me because I walk in blind faith in my Creator and the dream he's put in my heart

I'm an avid yogi and follow the principles of yoga as best as possible and opening my Chakras is important in accepting what is best for me

I never thought I had it in me, I've acted out of fear and lack but all that changed in 2020 when I started to help businesses and individuals move in their strengths

It's easier to forgive others.

What's difficult to realize and practice is that you need forgiveness too.

Forgive that your expectations were lower, your responses were trauma filled.

Forgive the negative talk and self doubt.

You are powerful beyond measure but it starts with a little step toward forgiving yourself.

When I was a little girl, I'd have to deliver koeksisters on a Sunday morning.

I HATED it.

Believe it or not I was incredibly shy... BUT this was more than likely my first step to entrepreneurship.

Now my dreams expand far beyond my imagination.

That little girl from Pageview didn't know what was coming

And isn't it lovely?

Knowing that every day holds a world of possibility?

Writing my first Toastmasters speech and man 4-6 minutes is a long time to speak about myself 😅

Also, I am far better impromptu speaker than prepared speech, this S**t is rough...

I certified as a yoga instructor and life coach in 2020, in the midst of lockdown.

My trauma (which I'm still working on) made me hate my vulnerability.

I needed to find a way to work through it, and in that, help others.

I took the first steps.

I went for therapy and CBT
I did NLP with
I owned my truth and story and started

And I'm here to remind you that:

💫Your story isn't over.
💫You can make the empowered choice. 💫Your voice can be heard again.

It's scary to start over, I know.

But imagine if everything good for you is waiting on the other side of that new beginning.

Before they told you who you should be
Before you were told what you needed to be
Before you became afraid of authenticity
Be her
Dreamer. Innovator. Creator. Nerd (this one is mine)
Find that part of yourself and revel in it

You're a puzzle piece, necessary for the artwork of life

You are molten gold
A beautiful being formed from difficulty and pressure

You are life
It flows through you

You are joy
Etched in your eyes and smile

Strong doesn't mean you were meant to carry EVERYTHING for EVERYONE but never underestimate your ability to move mountains for your OWN growth and aspirations

My baby girl donated her 35cm ponytail to CANSA.

She is brave beyond measure and wanted to do something for a little girl who may have lost her hair to chemo.

All she asked was that i support her decision.

She says that I inspire her to be brave

It starts with:

Wanting better (Desire)

Believing you deserve better (self talk)

Doing better (action)

It's taken me ages to post this...

I know, I'm in a more fortunate position to have declined a role like this, but the reality is that even in crises we need to understand where our boundaries lie.

I would've become frustrated and left anyway...

Corporate SA needs a shake up and a wake up

I had a really tough week

Usually I'd want to push through and work more to prep

But I am exhausted and so I found a sunny spot (my favourite type) and an unread book (blasphemous) on my shelf and I'm going to while away the rest of the afternoon

Because rest is as important as all my other tasks

I have facilitated a number of workshops and I pose two questions to the teams:

What do you value in yourself?

What do you value in those around you?

More often than not, they can't answer #1 because they're unconsciously holding onto something they can't control - their past mistakes.

On the journey of healing, as much as we have to work through forgiving others, we need to accept and forgive ourselves.

Don't let something like this hinder your own progress

Easier said than done but necessary in a world where your own mind can be your worst enemy.

Let your voices be heard

I've been wondering about the direction my business should take (it's fluid, what must happen?) and one thing is certain:

Empowering women to have their voices heard is a constant motivation.

The
breakfasts have become such a big part of who I am... From imposter syndrome to the taboo... we cover it all, we laugh, we cry (lawd do we cry)
And my wish is that every woman feels the safety of this network...

We have mommas, grans, single sirens and everyone in between...

More often than not, we try to shy away from our differences.

One of the amazing things about healing and unlearning is accepting who you are, what you've been through and how it moulds you into the beautiful human you are.

In his book "Your only limit is you" speaks about being diagnosed and living with ADHD.

An often misunderstood (mental) challenge, ADHD often goes undiagnosed (especially in women) unless it is disruptive.

Neurodiversity is an incredibly important topic which needs to be discussed more openly in corporates and schools.
